Oh boy I am about to try out Leonardo's flying machine...this should be fun there's a longer sequence with it in AC:Brotherhood. Have to say I'm not a huge fan of it *lol* now I'm off to continue III!!

No! Play! Station! And that's not gonna change in the next couple years most likely. I wouldn't call AC an 'open-world' game btw. 'Limited open-world' maybe. Sure you can run around rather freely and do small bonus things and stuff, but the whole game is still very much focused on the main story line. The Witcher, that I'm playing right now, is similar in that regard. Real 'sandbox/open-world' games would be Skyrim and the other Elder Scrolls games as well as the various GTA titles. I'm sure there are people with 100 hours into Skyrim, who have only finished about 5% of the main quest. I could not care less what platform we are talking about, its the games that matter! Yeah, I like Sony because I have one, and that is where I play. Really a shame that RDR is not available on PCs, and I truly, truly hope you will get a PC version of Uncharted. Off my soap box now, XOXO I does matter when you're talking about exclusives, though. That's my point. I physically can't play RDR without paying a couple hundred bucks for a console and that's just not gonna happen anytime soon. Same goes for Uncharted. Have to say I'm not a huge fan of it *lol* now I'm off to continue III!! I liked the flying in general, but damn, that one mission in Brotherhood was a bitch if you were going for the 100% completion!!!

OK, I am loving, yet getting frustrated with, AC2. I'm approaching the end game, at least definitely past half way, and instructions on what to do are getting more and more sketchy! I really hate doing it, and only at last resort will I... but I admit, I've been to the web for the 3rd time now for a bit of help. The first two turned out to be legitimate.. broken code or mis-instructions for lots of folks, and a tricky work around. This last time, I am just not skilled enough to pull it off yet..but I found this amusing conversation in the YouTube comment section Thought you might appreciate it. To both nillindeiel and ayanami random AC conv from Youtube.txt (3.15 KB)

Assassin's Creed Origins: E3 2017 Official World Premiere Gameplay Trailer | Ubisoft [US] Direct Linky LinkScaling a pyramid could be interesting

And the Gameplay Walkthrough trailer: Direct Linky LinkEdit: Now that I've watched that walkthrough footage. Not sure how I feel about the loss of the minimap and instead having this horizontal bar along the top that 'slides' with the icons depending on what direction your facing. I like being able to see the small view of the map when it comes to configuration of buildings and alley ways/etc... when trying to navigate through cities. Now, maybe in Origins - given that it's ancient Egypt - that won't be as much of a problem, but ancient Egypt still had some impressive cities so, I don't know. Being able to use/control your pet bird/companion looks like it'll be interesting. Air assassination with bow & arrow? Cool (kind of surprised they didn't implement that with AC III... especially since the cinematic trailer on AC III has Connor actually doing that).

Haven't watched the vid yet, but I just wanted to mention that I actually began to play without the mini-map at some point during my latest (re)play of the AC games. Don't remember when, maybe it was only during ACIII, but I suddenly decided to try it out and I just love it! Wherever I went during the game, I would always glance with one eye to the map to plan my next steps, etc., instead of actually being aware of my surroundings. I came to appreciate the gorgeous city design far more afterwards. Actually, now I remember! It was during ACIII, because I realised at one point that only the British city guards would be displayed on the mini-map. The American guards weren't, so when my notoriety was high, and I was trying to evade the guards for long enough to become incognito again, relying on the map did more harm than good. Once I had disabled it and really started to look around for guards, check corners, etc., hiding became so much easier!

See, for me... when my notoriety is high... all thoughts of looking at the map go out the window and I just bolt (in AC III, lately, I tend to bolt for a body of water - river or oceans edge... especially in the city, if I can find a bridge to hide under? I'm usually good... or if you swim out far enough the guards have to give up (because they're dumb and can't swim) *lol*

those trailers look pretty cool! The graphics have certainly progressed since the first games, although even those aren't bad at all, especially for their time. Progress report: I am very nearly at the end of AC2 now. The bundled package includes mem. blocks 12 & 13, before you play 14. I am in the middle of 13 now. Still will have to go back through to get 100%, but I will do that too, at some point soon. Fun game for sure, at least for the most part. It had its fair share of platforming/vs./controller issues, at least on PS3. Especially on the one part that I TRULY gave up on, and watched an online video. And from the 1000's (literally) of similar comments, I was not the only one frustrated with that part of the game: <i>When you are in the Catacombs and have to learn to smart-climb a wall for the first time, to grab 4 levers, all the while in a timed event. That SUCKED. Bad design. The rest has been enjoyable though </i>

well hell. Used on Amazon sucks. I finished AC2, and tried to install Brotherhood on my PS3, and got an error code. Internet research revealed this I've tried 3 installs already, doubt I have the patience for 20 attempts.......grrrs Guess I'll skip it and go on to Revelations. It installed just fine.

But Brotherhood is awesome! You get to properly see Rome, there's lots of cool stuff with Desmond, etc...

Yeah, there's kind of some big stuff with Desmond/the present day storyline in Brotherhood (though I believe the opening of Revelations kind of touches on some of what happened - but it might still be confusing). I had kind of a similar thing happen with my XBox with one of the Lego games I got that was backwards compatible (I believe it was the Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga) I would put in the disc and it would throw an error/want me to insert disc 1). I know it's different systems, but oddly enough the thing that ended up working (and I had to dig to find someone that gave this advice), was to lift up the front end of the XBox an inch or two when inserting the disc. Did that and it recognized the disc (and I could (gently, obviously) put the front end back down). Again, I know you have a different system (and the Lego game I'd gotten wasn't used, it was new). If you're not able to get it to work (and don't want to exchange/buy a new copy)... I *would* recommend actually watching a walkthrough or a Let's Play of the game (I kind of like TetraNinja's let's plays... he does provide commentary during his gameplay... direct linky link to his AC:Brotherhood Let's Play) since, as mentioned above, there's kind of some big stuff story wise with the present day. That's just my advice, however (and sheesh... at this rate, you're going to get past me and finish AC III before I do ... of course, I've already played IV: Black Flag so I'll be skipping it once I finish III)

Apparently Bayek will like to stargaze in Origins: Direct Linky linkAnd I have to say, the gameplay shown of him interacting with children ( giving Shadya her doll is the one I've seen) is adorable: Gif source: shatinn.tumblr.com/AND... looks like we have the in world origin of the Assassin's logo as well, looks like it's pulled from the bottom view on an eagle's skull - apologies if this was known before and I'm presenting old information, I wasn't aware of it until I saw this tumblr post today (which kind of makes sense, what with Eagle vision and this game having you actually have a pet Eagle (Senu) that is your "eyes" though if this skull belongs to one of Senu's relatives then ) Bayek's Eagle Skull Pendant (Image Source found at: wq0326 tumblr) I have preordered my copy (was going to go with the Gold edition which comes with the season pass and all that, figured if I was shelling out that much for the Gold Edition I may as well get the Dawn of the Creed collector's edition for about $40-$50 more that comes with a Bayek statue, and other collectible material... note, I did NOT preorder the Legendary edition ($800 just a bit too much for my taste on that one). The question will be, can I finish up AC:III, Rogue, Unity, and Syndicate before October or not (if I played every day instead of mainly on Saturdays, I probably could... but as it stands with my family barely tolerating my Satuday play as it is?....)

ACIII is now finished for the ending. On to AC:Rogue (given what I've seen online, I'm assuming the mechanics are going to be pretty dang similar (if not mostly identical?) to IV:Black Flag)
