Finished running the guys through... my voice wants to die and my brain has decided to stop functioning. I think I'm taking tomorrow off (and my manager agrees I should... she says I sound terrible). Stupid wild-fire smokey air combined with a stupid cold *blah*

I get frustrated being the only person in this community that watches Wynonna Earp....... This show is so much fun I can't believe I'm the only one here that watches it. Anyway, here's an example of why I like it and wish others did too: This IG post from the lead actor that portrays Wynonna is of her son. She gave birth to him only 4 days after finishing her final scene of S2 which happened to be a scene of Wynonna giving birth to her daughter. Melanie Scrofano was worried her pregnancy would cause catastrophic issues to the show, but the show runners and SYFY decided to make it a primary focus. They revised a few already written scripts and then.... went with it. It was awesome how they dealt with Mel's pregnancy and made her feel like a super hero while filming. Instead of thinking her pregnancy a hindrance, the considered it a blessing. Mel literally worked, including action sequences, all the way through her pregnancy. Oh, and the mustachioed pacifier is because Doc Holliday is a major character on the show. The T-Shirt is a perfect example of the humor on the show. http://instagram.com/p/BYyNJFHhoZN Back to venting: I wish I wasn't alone in my fandom. Thanks for listening and I hope you appreciate the humor of Mel's IG post.

Oh this weekend just keeps getting better (not). So on top of being sick... was taking my shower this morning, water pressure was kind of low when I started, but I could still work with it. Well, as I'm finishing up conditioning my hair the water pressure drops to next to nothing. I fiddle with the shower head a bit to put it on a setting that gives me enough water to at least rinse my hair out, but that was about all I was able to do. I turn off the shower head and let the water run just through the tub faucet and the cold water is putting out this gritty red/copperish gunk. All tubs in the house are doing this and all sink faucets have just dribbling water pressure (the sink faucets aren't putting out the gunk though, at least not that I've seen). My sister (who had just finished exercising when I discovered this problem) wasn't able to shower, she basically used baby wipes to wipe herself down and a spray bottle we had in the laundry room to wet down her hair. We went over to the school she teaches at (that's just about a block away from us) to use the faculty restrooms.
One of our neighbors that's kind of kiddy-corner from us (we have found out) has a problem (a hole?) with their water main going to their house that they're trying to fix (they've dug up a chunk of their front yard) and so we're wondering if their problem is in turn affecting us (i.e. if we're down the water line from them). None of our other neighbors that we were able to get a hold of have indicated having any problems with their water though. We've called a plumber and are waiting for him to finish up some other jobs before getting to us. Me and my sis are hoping that it's our neighbors problem just affecting us (and that we don't have some *other* problem... I mean, it feels like that would be a huge coincidence for them having a water main problem and we would start having water problems at the same time and them not be connected)
Small bit of good news is, we do have a bunch of 1-2 gallon jugs of water in our food storage so I've pulled one of those up and put next to the kitchen sink for us to use if we need to wash/rinse our hands or anything, and my and my sister just went to the grocery store (we go every week on Saturday anyway) and bought 4 dozen 10oz bottles of water. But still... if this problem somehow goes past this weekend?

Update: Plumber's here, he thinks it's our water softener system that has gone bad (question is whether it's plugged up/completely shot our our entire system or not)
Update 2: So he bypassed the water softener and then went through the house to each faucet and toilet to make sure each was okay. Most of the faucets are functioning again. Cold water in my sink in mine and my sisters bathroom refuses to function though (hot water fine... and my sisters sink both hot and cold are fine). So, from my understanding, he needs to replace a few hoses (assuming my sink is one of them, the washing machine is also needs hoses replaced), but the biggest hit is that we're going to need a new water softener (so will be taking hard water showers for the time being until we can sort that out). Our fridge water dispenser isn't tied to the water softener so we also have that.
My dad is going to be so thrilled (sarcasm) when he gets home... but it is what it is

Just got told during my one-on-one with my manager that our team has to get rid of our little rolling cubbies/set of drawers (other teams in our area that don't have them apparently have been complaining about our team getting treated 'different'). Suffice it to say I'm more than just a touch annoyed. Slight update to this portion of my vent last week. I've brought a plastic Igloo filebox tote to work and put a bunch of my stuff in it (and am now using it as a footrest - I've always required a footrest at my desk), smaller knickknacks as well as my spiffy scissors that I don't want to leave out in the open, my fidget devices, breath mints, dry erase markers, etc... I've put in two pencil boxes that I'm hiding behind my computer tower on my desk. And I'm apparently not the only one in mutiny/rebellion... our team lead (again, that's the TEAM LEAD... the guy in charge when our manager is gone) simply took his drawer cubby and put it back in the Inventory room along with Inventory's cubbies (that they weren't allowed to bring out with them when they moved their desks out into our area). So I kept some extra supply stuff (extra boxes of kleenex, post-its, etc...) in my drawers and did the same (leaving enough space in my footrest tote to keep my purse (instead of keeping it in the break-room lockers. I'm sorry, but in the event of an emergency and we have to evacuate (which, for us, the nearest emergency exit is the inventory room doors), I don't want to leave my purse inside the building, I want to be able to grab it and take it with me.

Got a double vent here. Living in Crook County, the area is run by the most corrupt politicians on the planet. Recently they implemented an excise tax on "sweetened beverages", which happens to include soda (diet too), flavored water, some fruit juices and I'm not even sure what else. And it's high, 1 cent per oz - which may not sound so high until you realize that a 2L bottle of store brand soda has a shelf price around 80-90 cents and contains 67 oz; add the regular 10% sales tax along with the excise tax and your'e almost doubling the price. They claim it is for health reasons and even run commercials talking about how obesity and diabetes have spiked in recent years...Really? Cola was invented somewhere around 125 years ago, no living person that we know of has been alive in a time when cola was not produced. (maybe blame things like kids not being allowed to play outside anymore or just their preference for smart phones and tablets which do coincide with the events mentioned) On top of that, the tax got held up in court for a few months and the county didn't even try to argue the health part of it, they were objecting on the grounds that they'd already spent the money they were projecting to make and would have to take jobs away from people if they didn't get their tax. Since I live reasonably close to the border, and refuse to pay, I've gone to Indiana a couple of times to stock up, which brings me to vent 2.
I made the trip about 10:30 pm with 2 stores to hit. Nothing eventful at the first store. At the second store which was more for general stuff rather than soda, I go around and get my stuff, get to the front and not a single cashier working, it's all 'self checkouts'. I don't do self checkouts for two reasons. First, because I'm opposed to the jobs being cut for that - not tonight, but I've had the chat with store employees before and they give the corporate line about nobody losing their job. And I'm sure nobody was fired for the sake of the self checkouts replacing cashiers, the store just waited for some people to leave (retire, move, get a better job) then didn't replace them. The second reason is because every time I've broken down and actually tried it, something goes wrong - an item is priced wrong or not in the system, or a bag of chips gets read as a car battery. So no, I refused the self checkout, put my refrigerated items back where they belonged and walked out without purchasing. At least when they went from full serve to self serve gas they discounted on the self serve.

I'm so annoyed with Google. They're mad that Amazon won't sell their products or something. How are they retaliating? By pulling the you tube app from Amazon devices. I have Amazon Fire TV and the you tube app is downloaded on it. I watch you tube on there all the time. Starting in January, I will no longer be able to do do. Google gets mad at Amazon and its consumers that have to face the consequences. Hopefully the two companies can work stuff out before next month, but I won't hold my breath.
Does anyone know if I can download a web browser on Amazon Fire TV and use that to access you tube?

Update: downloaded the silk browser on my Amazon fire. The you tube app was supposed to stay until the first of January, but apparently they pulled it off today. I had to watch you tube through silk today.

Why do people have to have the bass so high in their cars? I had ear plugs in (because the rain was too noisy and woke me up at eleven something-went to bed early cause my throat was sore) and my tower fan on and the vibrations from someone's bass in their stupid car (or possibly house) still woke me up at four a.m. I woke up startled too, I guess because my heart felt like it was beating fast. Took my pulse and it was seventy-four (it's down to sixty-six now), but it felt like it was going faster than that. I doubt I can go back to sleep now. I swear I think I can still hear that bass. Why are people so inconsiderate? If they are in a car then they're eventually going to lose their hearing if they keep this up.

I have to admit I was guilty of having an insanely loud car stereo 20 years back, but I wasn't blasting it through residential neighborhoods. My hearing is still really good.

There is a day care right across the alley from our house. When I am working in the garage, I hear the same nursery song repeat, literally for hours. I got news for somebody..the wheels on the bus are about to have their tires slashed...just as soon as I get through breaking out all the windows....MADDENING,PURE TORTURE👹
Old MacDonald is about to have his farm foreclosed on, too.

Use the force to find balance, Yoda. Do NOT turn to the dark side. It's the dark side that makes people revel in their ignorance and shout at the wind as if they know "all". You are Yoda, THE Jedi Master. We know (at least I do) that you are strong with the Marvel Force and objectively see things as they truly are. Don't let the ignorant Sith Troll ruin your balance......... I might have to take a break go to a nice secluded island in the middle of an ocean for a while (this person is seriously making my head hurt... the Rocket gif is very accurate). Here's the thread in case anyone is interested in trying to make sense of this person (reminder: I'm Silvermoon over there) forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=532071Okay, I was reading back through this thread to see some of the stuff I vented about, and on this one I decided to hop over to SHH and remind myself of that thread. Looks like the user I was arguing has been banned (for something said in another totally unrelated thread) and all I can say is
