So, I'm just frustrated right now. There's this function that I have no interest in attending. I told one person that I wasn't going. They informed the one who put the event together that I would not be in attendance. That person (the event planner) called me and attempted to try to talk me into going. This particular person has always tried to talk me into going to things I didn't want to or doing things I didn't want to do. So, I know this person would have not shut up about it until I agreed to go. In order to avoid an attempt at guilt-tripping (or whatever method they'd try to use), I cut them off and said "no, I'm not going and I have to go get ready to go somewhere now, bye" and I just hung up before they could say anything more.
Now my stupid guilty conscious is annoying me about it because I feel like "was I too rude?" Even though that person should not have called me in the first place. I do not feel that I am obligated to explain my reasons for not going to them. They should have just accepted that I wasn't going and left me alone. This person does this to me a lot. I often feel like I am being bullied into doing things that I don't want to do. Quite honestly, I'm sick of it! I'm an adult and if I say I don't want to go somewhere, I shouldn't have to go! Right? Maybe another time I would have responded in a less snippy way (I don't really know if that was snippy). However, this was a bad time to attempt that stunt with me.

You aren't obligated to go. Tell the guilt monster to take a long walk off a short pier.

My turn to let off some steam again. TO HELL WITH YOUTUBE for forcing us to start in auto-play, for starters. But my real bitch is about those annoying 'annotations' that are always on by default, also. FFS, we know they are just forced advertisements, just call them that.
For those too young to remember, which I am guessing is entering the third generation of new people on the planet, all that crap got its start in the early days of cable television. MTV was the titan of music on cable, and got a competitor, VH-1, with their very irritating 'pop-up videos', when the producers/broadcasters decided it was important to super-impose their opinions on top of perfectly fine content.
The dark back side of computer enhanced capability. It has long since invaded every newscast, both locally, nationally, and world-wide, and has now firmly entrenched itself into our shows, even while they are airing. I can't call it 'subliminal' advertising, so, I guess we should call it 'liminal' advertising??? I call it BULLSUGAR, and I hate it!
WOW, feels good to get that off my chest!

Lol, yeah, tell us how you really feel! Not that I can disagree, though. Advertisement on youtube, whether before or over-laid onto the vid you want to see is annoying. But, it still beats the "This video is not available in your country" message us non-US folks get too many times. On the topic of adds, btw. Just how many commercial breaks are there during a regular 1h program like AoS? And how long are those breaks. I think that varies greatly to what we have here in Germany (3 breaks at around 4-5 minutes, depending on the channel), but I never actually asked anyone about it.

Well, an hour long show is usually down to around forty-five minutes on the bought DVD seasons, so fifteen minutes all together of commercials. The time each commercial break varies depending on how far into the episode it is. It usually is around three to five minutes I think. Around three to five ads per commercial break, sometimes one or two more. Except some channels are worse. CMT for example. When I watch reruns of sitcoms there, sometimes the commercial breaks are five minutes or more (or it seems like it because there are so many commercials). For a thirty minute show, on DVDs, they are usually around twenty minutes without commercials, I think.
As for you tube's ads, they have gotten worse in recent weeks. I'll be watching a ten minute video and it cuts to commercial in the middle of it. And these aren't shows or anything, just tutorial/craft videos for the most part. It's beyond annoying.

These days, actual run-time of a show is usually closer to 41 to near 42 minutes, which means almost a 2:1 ratio between show/ads. I remember when it was three (3) minute breaks in an hour long show, for a 51 min. episode. How the breaks are dispersed and their lengths vary widely these days, probably depending on 'limited-commercial-break' deals, negotiated between the networks and the advertisers. As to your issue of 'not available in this country', don't feel like the lone ranger there. We in the USA get plenty of that also. France is especially bad at playing nice, but far from alone.

You never know how hard it is to NOT look at a "spoiler thread" about a movie you haven't seen, yet............ until the damn thing is staring you in the face. *devil on one shoulder, angel on the other* "take a peek" "No. Don't you'll regret it" "Oh, go ahead, what'll it hurt?" "I'm tellin you, you're gonna regret it" "Don't be a wimp, just look at it" "I say again: don't, you'll regret it" So far the angel is winning. Hope I can continue to hold out.

There is a user on SuperHeroHype that is driving me nuts (and if they happen to be a user here, they know who they are, and yes... I'm still calling you nuts). They're insisting that the Homecoming 8 years later (after Avengers) can be right (and was intended to be right) if *only* the timeframe in Iron Man 3 is ignored (the December 1999+13 years later=December 2012), that nothing else in ANY of the other films has to be ignored, just IM3. They are totally ignoring the fact that if Homecoming is right than Vision in Civil War has to be wrong as well as several other movies. They're insisting that both Homecoming and Civil War can be right (by stating that all the Phase 1 movies can take place within the same year, they've even brought up that TIH and Thor (though they've started backtracking on Thor) can take place before the first Iron Man movie). They're using "blurry calendar" (props with a date on them) reasoning for why Homecoming is right, but saying it can't be used when it comes to other movies, and just a load of other garbage.... I just the gymnastics they're trying to pull to make Homecoming 'right' such grasping at straws. I feel like I haven't run into this kind of user stubbornness since the IMDb boards

Don't forget WHiH videos on youtube. They're Marvel Made and therefore canon. I downloaded all ten videos from youtube. The date they were released is the date of the supposed broadcast. All ten are dated ranging from July 2, 2015 to May 3, 2016. Hope this helps your argument.
