There is a user on SuperHeroHype that is driving me nuts (and if they happen to be a user here, they know who they are, and yes... I'm still calling you nuts). They're insisting that the Homecoming 8 years later (after Avengers) can be right (and was intended to be right) if *only* the timeframe in Iron Man 3 is ignored (the December 1999+13 years later=December 2012), that nothing else in ANY of the other films has to be ignored, just IM3. They are totally ignoring the fact that if Homecoming is right than Vision in Civil War has to be wrong as well as several other movies. They're insisting that both Homecoming and Civil War can be right (by stating that all the Phase 1 movies can take place within the same year, they've even brought up that TIH and Thor (though they've started backtracking on Thor) can take place before the first Iron Man movie). They're using "blurry calendar" (props with a date on them) reasoning for why Homecoming is right, but saying it can't be used when it comes to other movies, and just a load of other garbage.... I just the gymnastics they're trying to pull to make Homecoming 'right' such grasping at straws. I feel like I haven't run into this kind of user stubbornness since the IMDb boards Sometimes you just have to breathe and let it go because there's just no convincing someone once they've got it in their head that they are right.

Either brace yourself, or quit reading this post right now, because I am about to blow my top. And I will add, right up front, this is perspective from the old grunt of the group. I don't even know how to keep it civil, but I'll try. Because all of you on this website are respectful people. This is an amazing group of classy people. If I slide down the mountain before I finish this post, well, I have enjoyed being here. Since I have already implicated most of you, I will get straight to the point. I HATE 'SMART PHONES'. I don't want one. I don't need one. I don't WANT to get emails on my telephone, which I use to TALK to people. I don't WANT to be tracked on every GPS ping that identifies my location. I don't WANT to let total strangers know that I am away from the house, much less away from town on vacation. Plus, I can't squint enough to read web pages on a 3x5, or whatever, sized screen. And I am SICK and TIRED of being at a social gathering, (I mean, flesh and blood people, in the same room with each other), and having a conversation dropped cold turkey when someone's phone chirps, and they IMMEDIATELY quit listening to the conversation, bury their head in their phone, and spend two or ten minutes in a text conversation with someone else, like its a matter of life and death, when it very nearly at least, NEVER is. I even called out one of my bestest of friends last night, after getting interrupted at least 8 times by a 'notification' on his phone, and he finally admitted, it is like an 'instant gratification' response. The need to respond/reply IMMEDIATELY, when a text comes through. I grew up in an age where telephone calls were answered, or not. Then we got a message-saving device, where you could know who called, and when, and what they wanted to talk about. And you called them back, after you got home and heard the message. They did not expect or require a response within seconds. Love the one you're with. I think somebody even wrote a song about it. Bottom Line? get over the electrionic [oops, didn't see that slip by--meant to say, Electronic Crack] Even my own family gatherings. I love football, (real, AMERICAN football, giggle giggle straight at ayanami jk ), and my family hates it. for 30 years, I have not been able to view football games on Thanksgiving day, because of family gatherings and dislike of football from the rest of them . Last Thanksgiving, things changed. It was only six of us, a rather small gathering that year, yet 5 were so engrossed in their hand-held devices, instead of the supposed REAL reason for the annual reunion, that I was able to watch an entire football game without someone turning the TV off.

I think Air Supply did the song - in the 70's. I agree about the phones. While they aren't legal, it's tempting to get one of those devices that kills the phone signal for such occasions.

OH what I would pay for a Howling Commando's joy-buzzer EMP device! and not only for family gatherings. Bars, restaurants, pretty much anywhere you go these days. But seriously, Air Supply?.. come on, dude, give the song some respect!

As the rewatching nears the Maveth episodes, I realize you should have put that song under the favorite songs thread for Simmons - she pines for Trip til he dies, then she decides to give Fitz a go but gets swept away to Maveth and hooks up with Will, then gets back and returns to Fitz after Will is confirmed dead. The song was practically tailored to her.

The song was practically tailored to her. I already did so a couple of weeks ago. While working on my response to the thread on character's personalities, I thought about how Simmons seemed to be acting on this song. I was a bit more vague than you were. I figured that FitzSimmons shippers would assume that I meant that Fitz was the one she loved but could not be with while on Maveth and that Will was simply the one she was with. Those who oppose FitzSimmons would assume that Will (or Trip) was the one she loved and Fitz is merely the one she is with.

Thank you, Hari Seldon I didn't go searching very far, and I know I have posted in this thread before. I just could not find it, and was too busy with life to go searching for it...which is kind of the reason I wanted to post something. I am in the process of selling my home, and the first realtor I made contact with was so out-of-line, and rude, that I cannot even begin to describe it! My sis invited her to my home, without my knowledge, and she did not listen to a word I said. She argued with me about such simple stuff as how many bedrooms were in the house. She refuses to talk to me, she insists upon texting. I have been trying for 3 weeks just to get my key back from her, finally she left it on my front porch with a nasty message. Not the sort of person I want trying to sell my home..there is so much more to the story, but that's the shorty version.. bad attitude for a realtor...the way I see it, she is applying for a job with me, to sell my home... she failed in grand fashion. Thank goodness, I have found another realtor who I really like, and actually answered some of my questions, instead of arguing with me. I look forward to her making her commission. To HELL with that first biatch!

Just posting here to vent about jerks who sideswipe cars and keep going. *NOT* what I wanted to wake up to this morning. (I suppose that will have to do for my "rage face".) Nobody was hurt and repairs are already underway.

I'm very ticked off at yahoo right now. Just got an email that on September 20th, I will no longer be able to access yahoo mail through my iPhone. The reason? Im still running on an older version of IOS because I have an older iPhone. I cannot afford a newer version of the iPhone. 10.0 doesn't run well on the version of iPhone I have. I know because a relative had the same phone as mine and when she upgraded to ten, she couldn't hardly even scroll. She had to downgrade to an older IOS.
I just don't understand why these companies have to force new versions down our throats. First yahoo kept bugging me about downloading their mail app instead of using the one provided on my phone. I was fine with using the phone's mail app. Since yahoo decided to stop being available for my iOS version, I will have to access my email through their site, which I find frustrating. The site's mail area is just not set up to my liking.
It wasn't broken. Why'd they have to "fix" it?

Just got told during my one-on-one with my manager that our team has to get rid of our little rolling cubbies/set of drawers (other teams in our area that don't have them apparently have been complaining about our team getting treated 'different'). Suffice it to say I'm more than just a touch annoyed. Edit: And apparently at some point I have to run two guys, who are helping us transition a lot of our processes to 'the cloud', through the steps of my job at some point today (show them the tools I use, what they do, etc...)....... that on top of me dealing with cold that came on rather suddenly (knew I probably should have called in sick today)
