Didn't want to hijack bigvanray 's Green thread, so I started a new one... As BVR stated on his Green thread, Chet Atkins is one of the all time greats. I got the opportunity to spend three years in Spain and, while there, came to really appreciate their talents. Here are two of my favorites: |

We could be here for a while talking about guitarists. I think after we wear this thread out I'll start one for piano players. For now I'm going to post one with another guy Chet did a lot of picking with, Mark Knopfler. He was the lead guitarist for Dire Straits, for anyone who didn't know.

A big thumbs up for Roy Clark. I'm going to throw Brian May into the mix. Or perhaps I should call him Dr. Brian May. He has a Ph.D. in astrophysics. That makes two ways he appeals to me. Queen is my second favorite band, behind the Beatles, and I'm an amateur astronomer. Long Away is my favorite of his recordings.
