No, I doubt it. I gave Buffy and Angel both a try, back when they aired. Just didn't get into it. Too 'teeny' for me. Remember, I am the old man of this forum. And, I fell in love with Firefly, and Dollhouse, even before I knew Joss Whedon was the producer of both, I had never even heard of him.. And Amy Acker was one of his 'go to' actresses. But it was Summer Glau that sucked me in. AND HERE I STAY. I want her on AoS SO much!~ I really am quite baffled when someone says Buffy is too teeny [mostly because my father watched and quite enjoyed it (Angel, not as much)]. But then again, some people are baffled when I say HP or Twilight is too kiddish/teenish for me, so... I guess it's all according to one's tastes. Buffy is probably one of my all time absolute favorite shows. Angel was really just kind of meh most of the time. I didn't watch the Firefly show because it was on the same time as something else I was already watching at the time. I did see the movie though. I watched Dollhouse some, not sure if I saw all of the episodes or not. Buffy the vampire Slayer ranks number one on my list. I even went for the comics  It has great characters, great arclines and most importantly great filler episodes, like my favorite ep Hush and episodes like the Wish, The Body, Of course if you start with S1 you might think it is a bit teeny. Luckily that quickly changed in S2. Though I really like S1 as well. About AtS. I thought the first three seasons were okay. I mostly liked it. I just think Angel is a bit boring. I never got into that whole brooding thing. My only annoyance is that they killed off Cordelia. |

honestly, I am going to give Buffy a try. So many of my friends, both online and IRL, rave about it so much, that I am sure there is something good there, especially after season 1.
I just urge you to visit Dollhouse, as well. Much like AoS, the first few episodes can be a struggle..but they are set-ups for a truly great story-arc, and when it takes off, it is one hell of a rocket ride, all the way to the end. I have said it before, its like reading a long Steven King novel..i.e., The Stand, or The Dead Zone. The first few chapters make you scratch your head. And then...hehehe... oh yeah!

Hush is my favorite too, tied with the musical episode. My dad's fave ep was Doppelgangland, which is a good one too. The Wish was good, as was The Body. Even though the latter was incredibly sad. Yeah, Angel was kind of broody and boring as a character. And yeah, didn't like Cordy dying. But, the final ep annoys me too. Angel became a hypocrite. Wolfram& Hart changed Angel (as a character) and not for the better. Also wasn't crazy about the Connor storyline. It was a bit fanfic-ish. And the Jasmine storyline was even worse.

 I have seen countless TV shows over the years, but Buffy is still one of my top 3 shows of all time, along with AoS and the first five seasons of Supernatural. You have great taste in TV! Those are my top three as well. Lol, you know what they say about great minds... |

Expect the similar quality as AoS, but also the same annoyance you have from time to time with AoS (probably even stronger annoyance ). But it will be worth it. I already I have some ideas what will annoy you and what will emotionally destroy yoy  |
