Wow. Especially so after the last 5 minutes of 4x15. I loved the first 90% of the episode, yet felt totally betrayed by the ending sequence. After all the talk from both the show runners and the cast, about pod 2 coming to a close, and a 3rd arc on the way, THAT is how they end it? My very favorite show is on the edge of losing me. I can only hope they make a sharp turn, and truly wrap up a BUNCH of stuff quickly, in the next episode.
((loved the Daisy/Coulson fight scene in 4x14))
In fact, my far fetched best-case scenario <although I really really detest the whole 'Bobby Ewing' way of dreaming away multiple episodes>, would be that everything we have seen recently is still happening just inside of May's framework, and she is about to bust out of it and put a serious whoop-ass on both Radcliffe and Aida. In my dream world, she would stop just short of actually killing Aida, and convincing her to join the team. And help get rid of the Inferior..what a lame enemy.
I have read all your comments and thoughts, and just had to wait a while to reply, because I did not want to come across as ugly. Closing argument...: PLEASE NO MORE WARD!~argh!!!!
P.S. Now would be an ideal time for Sky's BF from Rising Tide to show back up. Surely he has made his way back from Hong Kong by now. Now THAT would bring some season 1 closure such that the crew has promised will happen. Can you imagine what his reaction would be to Daisy? HEE HEE.
Thoughts appreciated. Pumpy, I know you got a kick out of the Daisy/Jemma hug. And speaking of Jemma, dang it girl, save some beer for the rest of us! You are drinking like a fish!

Tomatoes, Tomahtoes......... I'm looking forward to 4C. Like Jemma and I always say "It's gonna be a roller coaster ride and I'm gonna sit back and enjoy it"

I'm looking forward to it also, dammit! LOL. The whole ghost rider theme disappointed me at first, yet they did a decent job of making a good story of it. I am praying that pod 3 will have redemption. I DON"T want to lose faith. Still miss seasons 1 and 2 though. Need more Quinn, Graviton, and Deathlock.

1.) You've said that before and they always win you back. Have faith, Brown Coat. :-) The coat was on sale. And I only said that to give Jemma time to get behind you. God, do I ever miss Firefly. Might have to start a mini-board here to continue discussions on that show as well. "Also, I can kill you with my brain."- River Tam. YUM YUM

I second DTM in wondering where you had disappeared to. Glad you're back! As to the show, if you've been reading the board, you might my seen my posts stating my absolute delight at especially the last episode. I really didn't like the LMD arc as a whole, but found the laast 2-3 episode an incredible improvement. I don't really know what the showrunners said about the arc being closed, as I don't follow the backstage talk, but for me it was never an issue that some points might carry over into the third arc of the season. The Darkhold, Radcliffe and Aida had already been around in the first arc, so had been the Watchdogs, just that the focus hadn'T been on them so much. Now Radcliffe is gone as the mastermind, the Watchdogs and especially the senator are no longer an issue and (the Fitzbot aside?) there are no more LMDs left to replace people. Seems like enough of a cut to me. No idea how the third arc is going to go, but with the main focus being on hte framework, I'm sure it's gonna be a lot different anyway. Also, if this were the real Ward coming back, I would be among the first to riot, but a Matrix version of him with a whole different past? I think that might be lots of fun!

Was it only Ward that killed it for you? Not at all. That was just icing on the sour cake. As stated, I loved most of the episode. I was just expecting some wrap-up to the story, in advance of the third pod, and instead it seems we got drug even deeper into it. And, yes, DTM, I am gonna hold my breath and pray for a sensible outcome to all this, I sure hope it comes within 2 more episodes <preferably 1>. I really don't want to see a whole arc in an alternate universe, making us disillusioned with the characters we have come to love. I mean, even with Grant Ward, I love the character, even when evil, until the showrunners beat it into the the dirt with the whole Hive arc. Enough is enough. It wasn't Ward, or Dalton, that soured me. It was the writing of the plot. meh, I kinda started to get pissed at Ward after the whole Bobbi thing, but I wasn't fed up yet.

Aww, beren44 and terminator22, I hope you're both finding other things about the show you do enjoy! It sucks to really want to like something and have it disappoint you. I'm not a Ward fan here either (trying to kill FitzSimmons by dumping them in the ocean did it for me) and I wasn't a fan of the Will storyline, but I'm hopeful for this new pod.

I think it will be at most two episodes. Nothing is for long anymore with AoS. Don't forget that the DarkHold is the main stuff in this season. And I like this idea, gives us a chance to see the same characters in a different light which gives more depth to the characters.

Just imagine Coulson going full teacher mode, Fitz as a billionaire who was never estranged from his father (presumably), etc. Also, this development finally explains the sudden mention of Mack's daughter earlier this season and makes it much less of a wtf moment.

And I agree, the Darkhold seems to be the overall arc of the season. That being said, if we are going to create a new 'temporary' reality, PLEASE bring in Summer Glau as Daisy's long lost twin sister, with the will of their mother..now that I could get into. With passion. Plus, I am really, really enjoying May's alternate, fun persona. I could sure use more of that. So don't take me wrong folks. I am far from giving up on this awesome show!
