No, of course it doesn't belong in the Star Trek section! It might copy ST, and quite successfully, but it's still not part of the same universe. That's what matters. I agree on the sub-board, though. That would be nice. (How crazy is that even?! Would anyone of us have thought after the pilot that there'd be serious demand for an Orville sub-board?!?)  Speaking of being a part of Star Trek, I've seen rumors that both Patrick Stewart and Scott Bakula will have guest appearances this season on The Orville, though no solid confirmation. However, Seth has actually said Frakes will be directing an episode. On the contrary, doesn't the phrase "Pilot Review" imply the addition of later review threads regarding the following episodes? Since we don't usually make multiple threads on any subject here without adding a sub-board, this does in a way indicate the future demand of an Orville sub-section, regardless of whether DTM had intended that or not. One thread dedicated to the show as a whole should have instead simply been titled "The Orville" or something without explicitly naming the pilot. |
