Well, I guess the old site was wrong about Chuy only being in three episodes. So glad we finally know what Chuy is. can't believe that ending though. You know that's not going to last long lol.
Two episodes next week, whoo-hoo!
I still wonder why Fiji has hair samples of the whole town in her place. That's weird.

Two episodes next week, whoo-hoo! I still wonder why Fiji has hair samples of the whole town in her place. That's weird. Liked the ep but had a problem with it....... She could close the portal to hell with her light but Chuy beat her too easily..... especially since Joe said she was ancient and incredibly strong..... and killing demons was her hobby. Sorry, but to me, it was just to easy an end for a good antagonist. The hair is a witch thing. I'm sure it's so she can make whatever potion she needs to make, and personalize it for each person..... or something along those lines. Oh, and: Seems he DOESN'T have to take his shirt off. Probably just gets tired of getting new shirts....... or it's gratuitous for hose who enjoy the view.  Is it just me, or did Creek over react? I was thinking the it would bring her closer to Manfred...... Probably won't watch next week's eps until sometime Wednesday. That freakin demon better leave Fiji alone. |

Well, didn't Joe say only a demon could kill an angel? If so, the Chuy really was their only option when the portal thing failed. I'm guessing it was a "hell hath no fury like a demon who is pissed off" kind of thing. She was trying to kill his boyfriend as well as their friends, so I'm guessing that fury made him stronger.
By the way, it's kind of scary how much alike in thinking Bowie and Connor were. Both found it enjoyable to kill. I'm guessing angels aren't supposed to enjoy killing demons, just supposed to view it as a duty or something. That was one psychopathic angel.
Oh and: why didn't they tell us where Madonna got the money for her place? Now I'm super-curious lol.
And yes, Creek did overreact, but grief can do that to a person... Especially when mixed with the disappointment in her father and her anger at him. I don't think she really means to take it out on Manfred. People lash out when they're upset and often times not at the ones they are really upset with at the time. I'm guessing she's more upset with herself for "being blind".

I wonder if Fiji's potion would work on Chuy seeing as to how he is half demon. I'm guessing since Joe took him away from Midnight, we won't see him in the last two episodes. Joe likely will come back without him. I hope this gets a second season. Maybe Chuy will become a main cast member (he's not in the videos with the others) if there is a second season.

This was a good season finale. Now that's the way you do season finale "cliffhangers" when you're not sure if you'll get a renewal or not. These writers get it (unlike Stitchers' writers).
The cat is funny. Last week I thought "first they get rid of the funny grandma and now they're getting rid of the funny cat?". Luckily, the cat is still there.
I really hope this gets another season. It's a great summer show (even if I hate to wait that long lol).

I did a three ep mini binge to close out the season. I totally agree about the cliffhanger ending. They did a good job. No promises for the future and nothing left hanging at the end. Madonna's benefactor was a surprise for me, too. I wonder how Olivia would feel about Madonna if she found out. It's weird that Madonna is only keeping tabs on her; like daddy doesn't want to confront her or drag her back, but wants to be informed about her well-being(?). It would be nice to get more of Olivia's backstory in a S2. Also agree it's a good summer show. Doubt it would make it as a fall or mid-season show, but works well in the summer. It's a good replacement for the two mid season/summer shows that I watch(ed) and just got cancelled (RIP Stitchers and Dark Matter). Still want to know the history of the cat. Okay, he was Fiji's aunt's cat, but what's up with the talking and just how old is he? How did he come to be how he is? RIP Grandma........ I hope they put Hoot on her headstone. |

Was reading an article about the season finale and set-up for the (hopefully) second season and was surprised about something that was mentioned regarding the books. The article stated that in the books, Fiji had to have sex in public, in the middle of town with her friends watching. I am glad the show didn't go there. That's pretty weird.
The article also talked about the discussion that took place in the writers' room where they decided to make Chuy a half-demon instead of an angel like he is in the books. They wanted Joe and Chuy to be an example to the other characters about how to overcome challenges (or something to that effect). Making them both angels wouldn't be enough of a challenge, apparently. I think it was a good change... Works well for dramatic purposes.
