While obviously the story behind this is sad, that the owner of this headstone company would reach out and help this poor mother did make me smile (and cry). Good people in the world
"Sooner or later, humans will kill all the Aen Seidhe. All dwarves and gnomes. Then they'll start murdering one another. Your kind knows no other way. It's in your genes. You keep killing each other until only one remains. The strongest among you. A thousand years from now, a dim-witted human barbarian will climb to the top of a pile of bones, sit down and proclaim: "I win"."

OMG Thank you SO much! ROTFL here. I literally burst out laughing 4 times! The very Ghost Rider in me pops up its ugly head when stuck in the traffic here. I always have to schedule a new date when I am going to a place during a time when traffic isn't bad. I hate it when Mr. Hyde pops out accidentally! Thanks for the direct link, I had already tried the embedded BB code, and it didn't work either. But this did! I have so much empathy for that man! ~TOO FUNNY!!~

Didn't sound like he did, but I'll give about 3 seconds then make a short hit on the horn if someone doesn't move when the light turns green. It doesn't matterif they're a learner - they have to learn that people behind them get annoyed if they don't move.
"...unless you're a mom doing laundry." ROFL!!! Ups, no, better not do that! I'll just LOL with my feet up on the table instead.

thx again for the direct link... that makes it SO much easier. I got no audio with this one, but its pretty funny! You would think they would put some kind of spikes or something in the bottom of those slippery shoes. DOH!

There is no audio on the vid, so you're not missing anything.

ayanami: Also, yes, Iain deserves constant praise, always! And for the Doctor in particular. Chilling role!

Jemma Simmons: Right? I always think the same thing when I see a movie that was adapted from source material but has been changed so much that it's unrecognizable.
Nov 24, 2024 23:08:46 GMT
ayanami: I gotta admit that "World War Z" is an incredibly cool name, but still, seems a bit pricey if you're just gonna ignore the whole rest of the novel.
Nov 24, 2024 23:10:42 GMT
ayanami: The book sounds really cool btw. It's about one guy 10 years after the zombie outbreak gathering different perspectives from a bunch of survivors, so you have like a dozen different stories/settings in the novel. Plus, the author is actually Mel Brooks'...
Nov 24, 2024 23:12:58 GMT
ayanami: ...son and apparently there's an audio book version of the novel featuring a bunch of Hollywood talents! (Gotta have connections in life! )
Nov 24, 2024 23:13:41 GMT
Jemma Simmons: What?! That's wild! I'll have to check into it!
Nov 24, 2024 23:14:18 GMT
Jemma Simmons: Sounds way more interesting than the movie, anyway!
Nov 24, 2024 23:14:32 GMT
Jemma Simmons: Oh, just FYI, next weekend is a holiday weekend here, so I won't be able to be around.
Nov 24, 2024 23:15:41 GMT
ayanami: Absolutely! Which makes it even more bewildering that they went with such a lame clichéd Hollywood story instead. Which, btw, is actually getting a sequel next year. Who'd have thunk it?!
Nov 24, 2024 23:17:08 GMT
ayanami: Ah, alright, thanks for the heads up.
Nov 24, 2024 23:18:07 GMT
Jemma Simmons: Yeah, that's something I've noticed lately too. Why the sudden need for sequels for 20-30 year old movies? Most of the time they're crap and I'd definitely rather see new material.
Nov 24, 2024 23:20:11 GMT
ayanami: I think I'm gotta call it a night now, though. I've got kind of an early morning coming up tomorrow and it's getting late over here.
Nov 24, 2024 23:20:18 GMT
Jemma Simmons: Alrighty! You have a good couple of weeks then! I'll be spending next weekend with some family I like and trying to avoid any remotely controversial conversations with others that I spend the rest of the year avoiding
Nov 24, 2024 23:21:10 GMT
ayanami: Tbf, World War Z is "only" from 2013, but yeah, I get your drift. Answer: Hollywood producers are all a bunch of chicken sh*ts, who only want to invest money into stuff with a recognisable name and a good track record, so only sequels, prequels and reboots
Nov 24, 2024 23:22:41 GMT
ayanami: From now until eternity!
Nov 24, 2024 23:22:53 GMT
Jemma Simmons: Heh, yeah that sounds about right!
Nov 24, 2024 23:23:16 GMT
Jemma Simmons: I will make an exception for the new Gladiator movie. I've heard it's actually pretty good!
Nov 24, 2024 23:23:33 GMT
ayanami: Yeah, I hope you have a fun few weeks and a nice family time. And don't choke on the turkey! I'll see you around, bosslady!
