Did everyone catch the after credits scene on the season finale? That was a bit of a WTH moment. please refresh my memory. Use a spoiler tag, just in case....... David and Syd were outside on the balcony talking when they saw this orb shaped-drone like object. It pointed a light beam or something at him and basically beamed him into the orb. He was screaming for Syd and I think she for him. The orb then just flew off.

Well, I finally got around to the season finale today, so without spoilers, here's my take on the whole thing. And its mixed. I am going to start with the stuff I didn't like, so I can end on a high note.
*(While the show does a great job at presenting itself in a unique way, sometimes it just goes overboard with it and 'tries' too hard. A little Kubrick goes a long way. I am really hoping they tune that down a bit for season 2, but probably that is not likely. *(Related to that, as it stands, I will restate my belief that it would be better in a half-hour episode format. *As some other reviews have stated, it can be maddeningly slow paced at times. Again, I am sure this is in keeping with its 'style'. *Of all the people on the show, the lead actor is my least favorite in terms of ability, or at least demonstration thereof.
Now for the good stuff:
*It IS unique. A very refreshing, creative way to tell a story. *And it is captivating, despite its flaws. So far, I want to keep watching it. *Some have complained there is no seeming 'plot'. I have to disagree entirely. I think maybe the unique way it is presented is just a bit jarring to some people who are not used to scenes being revisited repeatedly, yet with deeper layers each time. Its more like peeling an onion than slicing up a carrot, if you know what I mean. *And as far as acting, the Lenny character is knocking it out of the park!

Yay, I finally watched the show, and it really is as awesome as everyone is saying! I saw it over the past three days (first the pilot, then yesterday 3 eps and today the rest), so I really have to disagree with beren44 in that it's not binge-watchable. I really couldn't stop watching, especially the second half. Really loved all the actors and I can only chime in with all the praise for the actress playing Lenny. She really hit it out of the park with her performance! I also liked Dan Stevens a lot; he portrayed all of David's different phases incredibly well. I got chills when he returned from the astral plain and the monster was in charge. He had such a creepy vibe, only to switch back to sweet, innocent David at a moment's notice. I wish they would have kept the memory jumps from the first half up a little longer, though. I loved seeing all those snippets fitting together piece by piece and showing the bigger picture, while always retaining the danger that David was only imagining part of it. I do have a couple of lingering questions, though: 1. When the hell is this supposed to take place? The timeline is just so confusing, really. On the one hand, there is the X-Men tie with Charles Xavier apparently being David's father. (See the wheelchair in Amy's memory.) Charles didn't end up in a wheelchair until 1962, and considering that David is around 30, that would mean the show takes place in the 90s. But that doesn't look like the 90s! There's Amy, five years into David's stay at Clockworks, wearing a full-out 60s get-up. Clockworks itself, as well as Summerland have a very strong 70s vibe, while Wallace runs around with a gun from a 40s gangster movie. The other characters' outfits, especially Syd's don't look like they're from the 90s, either, but then there's email and at least Division 3 uses lots of hightech equipment. Very weird.
2. What did the bloody stars say?? Seriously, I need to know!!!
3. Why was there a British car outside Summerland at the end? Who did it belong to?
4. What powers does Melanie have?
5. When Syd touches someone, their minds change places, not their bodies. So why is there a full body transformation when the switch ends? Shouldn't the minds just snap back to their original bodies? Surely that would be "easier" than altering ever single cell of the body. That's all I can think of right now, but I might add more later.
