I think this will be my last new overall topic - at least for today . I figure with the movie coming out on home media release this month there will be people that either didn't see it the first time around that want to talk about it, plus those of us that did see it that want to talk about the movie again, the special features, etc... To kick things off: Entertainment Weekly released a deleted scene yesterday on their site: ew.com/movies/2017/02/06/doctor-strange-deleted-scene-mads-mikkelsen/(I have not yet seen a youtube link for the scene... so sorry for anyone that might have problems playing EW's videos)

His American accent was honestly so bad to me that it was distracting. Even Chewy wasn't very good (or rather, his role was bland and sucked). And I love Tilda, but I thought she was really miscast as the ancient one. The only good parts for me were Wong and Rachel McAdams (her role was seriously underwritten, but she did as much with it as she could). Overall, I thought the movie was okay, but not memorable in the least and I wouldn't rewatch. Compared to CATWS, GOTG and Antman, the script seemed generic and appeared cobbled together in a rush.

I can see how it was a movie that wasn't everyone's cup of tea. I respectfully disagree with you that the script was mediocre and the acting craptastic. I loved the script and the acting. As for the accent, personally, outside of a few spots here and there where his "r's" seemed to slip a little, I thought Benedict did a great job at pulling off an American accent. It took a little bit to get used to at the beginning of the film (because, I think, my brain is so used to his natural/English accent)... but I was able to ease into it fairly quickly. It's definitely going to be a movie I rewatch Just my personal opinion, of course

"Just my personal opinion, of course"
And isn't it nice to be on a board where everyone's not only allowed, but expected, to have one? :-)

I can't wait to see this movie. I do not go to theaters much anymore. There is only one in my town and the owner jacks up prices because he has no competition.

Lost in Kathmandu I definitely think they should have left in (but, of course, I'm a sucker for dogs so....)

Don't go to theaters much more either. For Cap or Avengers I will still be there. But soon it is out on DVD, so soon we'll be updated. Because it is a must see movie

I think I heard Feb 15th is when Dr. Strange is out on DVD. Yes, the 15th or 16th it will be out on digital (iTunes, Amazon instant, etc) and a week or two later on DVD/blu-ray.

Good to hear. I have that kind of patience. I probably will buy on blu ray. If I have the patience to wait for aother week or two.

I am a tad testy with myself for even watching the deleted scenes when I know full well that I have already purchased the media for delivery on the 28th. I've so far spoiled that whole unwrapping of the shrink wrap, not trying to finger smudge the media and sorting through the features on the packaging of what to view first! Oh the HORRORS of Youtube!!

Behind the scenes look at the mid-credit scene.... because there are some here that haven't seen this, i'll see if I can get this to not embed the tweet and instead link to the tweet (that way you aren't spoiled for what you haven't seen yet): Twitter Link to Videoedit: okay good... that worked
