What if Deke is instead the great-grandchild of Hunter & Bobbi? I hope he isn't related to Daisy or Fitz. Is it just me or does the makeup style of Kasius look similar (in application style) to Lorne from Angel? Both shows are Whedon shows, so it's possible it could be the same makeup artist/team, right? Too bad Kasius isn't as nice as Lorne though. Ha, that's who he reminded me of! Wrong colour scheme, but yeah, the resemblance is definitely there.

I have been thinking that one of the new characters might be a descendent of an alternate member of the team, but not necessarily Fitz. I have not seen anyone here shipping Daisy with Deke, but I have seen comments to that effect elsewhere. What if the show starts that direction only for them to find that Deke is the (great) grandson of Daisy? If Fitz is the (great) grandfather of Deke or Virgil (or another character), several questions will be raised. Is it alternate-universe Fitz or our Fitz? Who is the (great) grandmother? How will Simmons take it if she finds out that Fitz is the ancestor, particularly if she does not realize that it may be an alternate version of Fitz? If it is alternate-universe Fitz, the (great) grandmother could end up being alternate-universe Simmons. If it is our Fitz, things could get very complicated and/or messy. Daisy would also be funny. But Fitz is would shed a whole new level to the Fitzsimmons drama. Don't think so, though. Fitz is never gonna have a child with anyone except Simmons. What if Deke is instead the great-grandchild of Hunter & Bobbi? I hope he isn't related to Daisy or Fitz. Bubbo and Hunter would be great explanation as well. And a lot less soapy.

I have rewatched it *twice* and I still don't get something at all...Zev was totally captured on the Trawler. Tess wanted to space him, and Mack refused to let that happen. How, then, when they arrived back at the Lighthouse, did Zev suddenly be in control of the 'outlaws' (READ: the team) again and yet not be able to inform Grill about what happened, preventing Grill from believing Yoyo about the gun she planted on Zev?
I hope I have expressed myself, its hard to put into words what I am getting at. Lets see... 1. Team captured Zev while on the Trawler. Would have been thrown out with the trash, but Mack said no. 2. Team arrived back at camp. 3. Zev allowed by the team to be in command again before they land??? But then not getting the first word in with Grill, telling him what really happened? Which would have prevented Grill from believing Yoyo about the gun, which she planted on Zev in a heartbeat??? 4. Wait, Grill knew it was his own gun...he just saw an opportunity to avoid the guilt/punishment of having the gun himself, and sacrificed Zev to save his own skin? WHAT THE HELL (as Fitz would say) am I missing here?

Are you referring to my post in the episode 4 thread? Well, we haven't met Deke's parents yet, but he said that the voice coming over Virgil's radio was that of his father. So dad is definitely still alive, as for mum, we'll have to wait and see. It wasn't completely clear if she had also been sent to the surface, but as that seems to be Kasius' main form of execution, she might still be there as well. Of course, she could be dead by now, eaten by the monster aliens, or killed some other way. As to your previous question: Pretty sure that Zev told Grill everything that happened on the trawler; that's why the team was all cuffed to the wall in the first place. Zev didn't know the full story, though. He just knew that May secretly changed the course and that they were talking to someone related to Virgil. All that must have confirmed his believe that they were stealing from Grill. When the team knocked Zev out, they pretty much only made things worse, but as they weren't going to kill him, like Tess wanted, they really didn't have much of a choice than to let him go again once they were back on the station. (Well, I suppose it would have been better to think of a way to frame Zev at this point, but that wouldn't have allowed Yoyo to show off her powers again and put her at odds with Mack the way it did.) Really, though, what else could they have done? Stash him somewhere? Turn this into a hostage situation? I suppose they could have tried to bribe Zev somehow, but it's not like the team had any kind of funds to make that work. I suppose Grill's quick decision to turn against Zev was in part to avoid any suspicion that he was the one the gun had originally belonged to (completely ignoring the risk that Zev might tell Kasius just that, though!), but mostly because he now had definite proof that Zev was stealing from him. Not a big leap to assume that he had been the one stealing all along, really, thus exonerating the team and Virgil as well. That was my take on it anyway.
