I thought we already had a thread for The Librarians, but I don't see one. Hopefully I'm not remembering incorrectly about a few others having said they also liked the series in another thread.
Anyway, I just found a start date for season 4: December 20, 2017. Seems kind of odd to premiere right before Christmas then not come back until 3 weeks later.

I'm ok with the late part, but starting it the week before Christmas then leaving it to the second week of January doesn't sound like a good ratings strategy. Then again, I can always hope it's because it was supposed to start in January but they are doing an early episode with Bruce Campbell.

Did it say if the second episode still has to wait almost a month? Too bad the Librarians can't join in on Infinity War... Thor: Who are you guys? Cassandra: We're the Librarians. Thor: Ok. Edit: Found the S4 trailer:

There's sneak peeks up for the first and second episodes:
Ep 4.01:
Ep 4.02:
The irony is the 4.01 popped up when i went to look for an AoS sneak peek.

The info for the second episode has changed. So, apparently the Santa ep is not airing this week. according to imdb, the Christmas episode along with another episode will air next week. So we're getting another double dose next week if that site is correct. Also, Bruce isn't listed for the Christmas episode. That could be an error on the site's end though.

I guess I'm as guilty as the rest, but zero discussion on the opening pair of episodes. I'm kind of on the fence myself. I thought the show was more original than to go the route of "the church is evil" thinly veiled behind the active group being the "rogue heretic sect". If it becomes a season of knowledge vs Christianity I'll probably stop watching, though I do want to see what's up with the previews with Jenkins wielding a lightsaber Unfortunately, John Noble is exactly the type of actor who would make a good all-season villain. On the good side, the second episode was very much a standalone, with the only thing recurring from the first episode being a mention of the binding ceremony. However, there's some glaring errors in human nature in the episode... The people who go to the race track on any regular basis use a system of logic to pick the horses, plus the odds vary with the bets placed so if nobody was betting on one of the horses the odds would skyrocket and there are always people who bet on the longshot. Bets are also not just to win, there are also bets to 'place' and 'show' which mean you make money even if your horse comes in second or third. Then there's the slots. Casinos are required to report the payback percentage their machines are set to and there's a gaming commission that makes sure they are set as reported and an audit that would very quickly show if there was nothing paying out even if the machines reported being set correctly. I've also read the gaming commission has undercover people who play and observe other players and again would quickly notice the lack of payouts on the machines. And finally, if people were losing their luck by watching the television screens, why didn't she just make a commercial and do an advertising blitz that would have caught a lot more people than a televised horse race? So far, not so good.

Thanks for posting those.
Edited to add: two episodes will air next Wednesday as well. I wonder if this is going to be the pattern for the whole season.
We got gipped in the Christmas episode. We didn't get to see the sweaters Cassie made for Flynn, Eve and Jenkins lol. I laughed out loud at the cowboy stuff on Stone's sweater and then the very next episode, he was in the cowboy outfit. Love that he got to sing though. I love his voice (speaking and singing). Didn't know he could yodel though lol. Ezekiel's sweater looked like it had a game controller on it. I have to imagine that Jenkins' sweater would have had knight related stuff on it. No idea about the other two sweaters. Anyone else have any thoughts?
Looks like only one ep per week from now on.
So the Darrington Dare ep: he said something and I thought "is he a librarian or Sherlock Holmes?"... And then a few minutes later he says Doyle based Sherlock on him lol.

Question on the Darrington Dare episode, did my eyes deceive me or was that Howard Charles (Porthos from BBC's Musketeers) playing Gethic (I believe that was the arch-nemesis' name)?

I can verify that the name Howard Charles was in the on screen credits for the episode and his IMDb picture looks like the character, but none of the sites have actually listed the guest cast. Close enough?
