You've probably seen (part of) the series and the online backlash and are wondering if it is worth it. Quality-wise, I can tell you that it could be better. But there are some nods fans can follow, and depth too, that I believe will unfold.
- Why did they cut Medusa's hair? Everyone's asking that question. But, you see, I believe the writers want us to follow the characters and see who they really are, when brought down to normal without their powers. But I believe they will get them all back as the series unfolds. Just hang in there. It's why Blackagar (a name they'll never use, nudge, nudge) is in a human prison, Medusa's hair is gone, and Karnak...
Many wonder why he has lost his powers all of a sudden. The issue here is that his problem-solving skills were honed on the isolated Moon community. He's on earth now, and Moon laws of physics are not the same here. Out of his element, he will learn to become the Karnak comic fans know.
- Also, anyone catch the Goldilocks reference in ep. 2? Medusa (known for her locks) walks into a stranger's house, eats their food, lies on their bed. Classic.
Or maybe I'm reading too much in there.
Also, Maximus may be Loki-lite, but I like him ... or at least who he's trying to be.
To me, Inhumans is Marvel's BvS. An attempt to tell a story over a long haul, but the first impression ruined it. But, like AoS, I believe the show will grow to become something special. Even if this is the last season.
But please, please, PLEASE, crossover with AoS first!
