Loved the episode! Kara going all dark and no-nonsense for a change worked really well after her losing Mon-El, without the plot drifting off into any "Woe is me!" territory. It will be interesting to see where the dream sequences are going, but so far it was nice to see Mon-El again, even if just inside Kara's head. When he was put on a bus spaceship last season, I was actually convinced for a moment, that we wouldn't see him again, but considering that he was pulled into some kind of wormhole instead of just flying off into space, I figured he would have to play a part yet. Didn't think they'd keep him as part of the main cast, though. More as a recurring character. Very glad to be proven wrong on this.
Also, it seems like they've re-cast mom. Seems a bit weird to me, after the huge part the actress played in season 1, but I guess they just couldn't manage to get her back for a few(?) more episodes.
Much to my delight, I had completely forgotten the casting news that Aidrian Pasdar had joined the show, and was accordingly ecstatic when I suddenly heard his voice. He makes for such a great bad guy! Much more Nathan Petrelli than Glenn Talbot, only with a hefty does of a-hole put into the mix. Plus, now without the moustache, I can finally take the guy seriously again!
Really happy to see that they not only kept Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor around, but even promoted her to the main cast! Love that gal!
The other way around,
On a side note, I know that some of the posters here are no fans of shows including (liberal) current political issues, but on Supergirl it's kinda par for the course. You're just gonna have to live with it, if you want to watch the show, and this episode in particular, I thought it was extremely hilarious! Cat Grant pointing out that, yes, the President does believe climate change is real, because she's not more stupid than an eight year old was just too funny, and the stuff about the listening devices made me laugh as well. My favourite part in that regard, probably because it was the most subtle, was Kara explaining that Cat had had to put her shares of Catco into a blind trust when she became press secretary for the White House. Yeah, you know, some people actually do that when they go into politics.

Floriana Lima (Maggie) is now only listed as "special guest star" instead of as part of the main cast. Uhh, I'm afraid that might not bode well for Alex's relationship!
