Latest update, after eps. 9 and 10. I rescind my previous comment. This show jumped the shark, a whale, and possibly a nuclear submarine. I'm done. As in Finished. Finito. No Mas. JEEZ what a poop, not a porcupine, this show turned out to be.  |

Right now I'm hoping Spike will bring out his fangs and drain them all. Maybe I should look up what their powers turn out to be. I'm wondering if it was intentional, and I'm guessing it was, but I noticed the purple hair girl named Gert is attracted to the jock named Chase Stein. Gert being short for Gertrude, if they were to carry out the ship to marriage and she took his name, they'd have Gertrude Stein as a character (anyone not old enough to already know, you know where Google is). |

I'm really curious to hear what others have to say about it, so pretty please, keep us posted. I think my opinion is pretty clear  And I tried, I really tried. Without spoiling anything, I will say that I found the almost total lack of sound track was terribly detrimental for trying to build tension..its like you wait to get a tense moment, and you wait, ....and nothing. Also, DoTheMath and ayanami were speculating about the general trope of 'the world vs. gifted/powered people. I can assure you, that is NOT the case in this series. Which is one of the things I did like about it, its a fresh idea. I just wish it had been produced on another network. It seems like this genre isn't going to fit well on Hulu. |

One episode down. It’s not bad, but so far, the characters seem pretty stereotypical. I get the whole “here’s a ragtag group of otherwise typical teens”, but I’m really hoping for more character development. That said, I’m only one episode in, and the plot is interesting enough that I will probably watch a couple more episodes tomorrow.

Episode 2 finished. The show is growing on me. The plot is keeping me interested and the acting isn't awful. It's pretty predictable so far, though.

... and episode 3 in. It's feeling kind of slow, considering there are 10 episodes. Also, still very predictable. Also, for being part of a secret organization, the kids' parents are surprisingly clueless about keeping it secret. Still an enjoyable watch, though.

Finished episode 4. The special effects are kind of cheesy. I'm feeling like the show is starting to come together but I'm waiting for something to happen aside from the "we have to spy on our parents" thing. I'm glad they're starting to finally find out some things about what their parents are up to, but it's still feeling pretty slow. The plot is still holding my interest, though. I'm hoping Alex does okay... he was just taken at the end of this ep.

I finished the series. It wasn't bad and it held my interest enough to make me want to watch S2. It kind of feels like Iron Fist, in that it's not bad but considering the universe it's a part of... it had a lot to live up to.
