Nice of you to check on me (you, too, beren44), but I'm fine, don't worry. I was actually busy at home all day yesterday, so I didn't even get wet. The worst of the storm was also a bit further north, so the wind here wasn't really strong enough to break off more than a few branches and maybe a few smaller trees. Nothing like what you can see in the article. I'm just glad I didn't have to go anywhere by train, as the whole network was in chaos from the northern lines being heavily affected by the storm.

Good to hear. I don't recall you saying what part of Germany you're in so I was prepared to find out I'd done the equivalent of asking someone here in Chicago if they were safe from the hurricanes in Florida.
