I'm someone who doesn't mind a lot of exposition.
The first two episodes weren't that exposition-ey, and left some unanswered questions that weren't even hinted at.
One of those questions: where'd they get their tech? I think it's Triton who is picking through the wreckage of the Rover and is like, "Lithium. SMH" like these people living on the moon with limited resources have something better.
How can they have the tech they have, like their SMART watches that appear more advanced than anything on Earth?
These people aren't complete aliens. They *came* from Earth.
How do they even have that tech? The moon isn't going to provide that much in the way of manufacturing resources. Did they sneak to Earth and take what they need and develop their own tech?
Also, if they're SMART bracelets/watches whatever, are sooo great, how come they don't have a front facing camera? Black Bolt and Medusa should atleast have video chat capability because that "heartbeat and listen to the sounds around Black Bolt" mode of communication could become quite problematic pretty easily.
Better yet, why doesn't *everyone* have the ability to *text*? Texting could have solved sooooo many problems in the first two episodes.
Speaking of talking to Black Bolt:
I am not Deaf or hard of hearing. I do not know fluent/conversational ASL or Signed English.
But what I do know is that, if a family member is deaf, or otherwise communicates in sign, that person's closest family members will (usually) use sign too, or atleast know enough to talk to them, or understand them, without an interpreter.
The idea that Medusa is literally the only person who Black Bolt can too without help is maddening. Really? Everyone else is too dumb to pick up on Black Bolt's signs?
Now I know that they used Medusa as an interpreter so they could get away with not filling the screens with subtitles.
I get that, but they did the thing where Medusa answers or responds to BB like a student answering an essay question by stating the question or statment in the first sentence so you know what the question or statement was. They could have had all the characters do that and know sign language without using subtitles. It wouldn't have looked or sounded any worse than them *not* knowing Sign too.
Besides all that: he's their 'King'. Why wouldn't they have bothered to learn how to understand him without help!?
Other unanswered questions:
When did the Inhumans move to the Moon?
How did they move to the Moon?
How did the Inhumans manage to get the material necessary to be able to cloak themselves?
What are the miners mining?
Why is a caste system necessary?
Why do the people in the other castes dress more like humans of earth than the Royal Family?
And just because I love giving myself a headache:
Did the Inhumans know about the portal to Maveth?
Did they know about Maveth at all?
Did they know about HIVE or that HIVE came to Earth?
And because I love giving myself a bigger headache:
Did the Inhumans know that there were Kree reapers hanging out in a ship circling earth waiting for a beacon to be turned on to come to Earth?
Did Vin Tak just not think to scan the moon for Inhumans?
Would the Asgardians know there's someone living on the moom and just not care?
So many questions. So many that aren't ever going to acknowledged.
