Very cool, yet very underrated movie with lots of 60's charm, clever humour and tons of sexy people. Plus, a phenomenal soundtrack!! Anyone seen it? I've seen it in theater twice, plus got the DVD and the soundtrack on CD. (The first CD I've bought in years and the last since!) Too bad it doesn't look like there's gonna be a sequel.

I haven't brought myself to watch it so far. I'd be too prone to judging it by the original.

Me and my family enjoyed it (and hey, my dad stayed awake during it... which is actually a pretty high sign of approval in our household *lol*). I've actually been meaning to watch it again. I really liked both Henry and Armie in it. It was fun.

Personally, I have never seen the original series, so that wasn't an issue for me. I was somewhat active on the imdb board at the time, though, so I've seen the occasional complaint about the movie dropping lots of stuff from the show, even the theme music! Thing is, the story is more of a prequel, in that Napoleon and Illya meet for the first time, and neither is a member of U.N.C.L.E. yet. In that regard I think it's fair enough for them to do more of their own thing. They were certainly aiming for a sequel, though, (which I kinda doubt we'll ever see), so maybe that would have seen more stuff fans of the TV show were familiar with.

I really liked both Henry and Armie in it. It was fun. Yeah, they had really great chemistry in the movie! I still remember some very heated arguments going on on the movie's imdb board with a slightly delusional (read: bad-sh!t crazy) fan, who kept insisting that the two were actually in love with each other, despite the straight forward romance in the movie that said otherwise. Funniest part, she even kept transferring that obsession onto the actors, who were apparently this close to having a secret affair with each other! Go figure. Some people just had too much of the crazy juice! I'm still sad that the movie didn't do that well financially, so I don't have very high hopes of ever seeing a sequel. Too bad, really.
