Absolutely loved it! /Whenever the "Are you still watching" screen came up I replied with "STOP JUDGING ME, NETFLIX!" // 9.5/10... would watch again.

Yeah, i finished watching late last night (or early this morning... depending on your point of view ). I managed to avoid the "Are you still watching?" screens because i was having to pause enough time throughout my watch (to eat dinner (such a pesky problem needing to eat food ), take my evening shower, etc...) That was one heck of a ride. And that end? Oh my gosh that end... I mean Obviously, knowing that DD Season 3 has already been given the greenlight I knew that Matt wouldn't actually die, but still... I fully admit I was crying pretty much from the point where Danny and the others make it up to the ground floor and meet up with Colleen, Claire and Misty and Danny realizes that Matt knew, and that last shot of Elektra and Matt kissing while everything collapses around them?! GAH!!! And then Danny saying that Matt asked him to "Protect my city", through Karen and Foggy realizing that Matt's not walking through that door in the police station, right up until the pan up to the cot/bed revealing unconcious Matt and the nun next to him. I was a basket case by the end of this *lol*[/spoilers]
I'm kind of bummed it was only 8 episodes. I want more! Will definitely watch it again (and again and again).

I wish I could program it to not do that and just play until I am done. Anyway, I'm on my 3rd binge watch. I would have probably watched it five or six times, but sadly, I needed to work yesterday. Good series though.

Good series though. I know, right?! 😄 That would be awesome if that message could be disabled. I can understand how it could be helpful if you have to watch your data use. That would suck if you accidentally left Netflix running. I plan to restart the series in the morning! 😄

I am SO pleasantly surprised at this show. Without expounding, if you recall, my opinions of the independent shows were as follows: Daredevil...on the fence. I gave up after ep. 2x02, but have considered revisiting it, and likely will do so. Iron Fist...I liked it well enough, it held my interest and I will keep watching if they make more. Jessica Jones...I will never, ever rewatch that show, I think. I just hated it. Luke Cage...never even visited it, because of my dislike for JJ. Now, the good stuff! I am thoroughly enjoying ALL the characters now that they are together on the Defenders! I am halfway through 1x04, and will likely binge it away before the weekend! Yay, I can relate to some of you all again!

I wonder if that's a US thing as I never get that message. Though the minute the "a new episode starts in 10, 9, 8..." comes up I'm on the controller and hitting X to start it, so maybe that skips it? Anyway, I really enjoyed the series as well (LOVED that it was 8 episodes rather than trying to pad it to hit 13). Wasn't blown away like I was with Avengers - it was cool to see all four together but not the giddy feeling I got in Avengers but that's a high bar to compare to. The very last scene was a relief for sure as I was starting to worry the credits would roll each time they faded to black. I thought the best thing they did was make a stand-alone series (of sorts) while still staying pretty true to all four unique characters. Even the way they mixed in the side characters and how they interacted with each other was well done IMO.

I believe that, basically, any time you touch the controller (to pause, rewind, to jump to the next episode before the timer hits zero, etc...) that controller manipulation 'resets' the tracking of whether you're still there (for lack of a better phrase) on netflix's system. When we were binging some episodes of Longmire the other week, I think we decided that it takes about 3 to 4 episodes of not touching the controller *at all* for it to pop up with the "Are you still watching?" prompt

From that I assume it was indeed something Netflix did in response to (or anticipation of) people sleeping through gigs of downloads without realizing it.
