I was just really getting fed up with spoiler tags... I was pretty happy for this last episode (well except then end) RIP Olenna The meeting between Jon and Dany went about like I expected (unlike others on the internet, I never really expected them to have this instant connection/for everything to be hunky-dory between the two of them). The reunion between Jon and Tyrion had been what I was most looking forward to and it didn't disappoint (I've said on twitter, I think only a Jon/Arya reunion can top the Jon/Tyrion reunion). I especially loved the beginning of the cliff top scene where Tyrion's going on about brooding and how Jon makes him look bad at brooding. Davos was just... poor guy, still doesn't quite know what he's doing as an advisor to a king *lol* (seriously, the guy could have at least thrown in "Former Lord Commander of the Night's Watch" and "The White Wolf" to Jon's title of King in the North) Not a huge fan of the direction they're going with Bran. I mean, I get what they're trying to do, but I'm not sure it's coming across the way it should. Also, am I the only one that saw that Little Finger seemed oddly interested in the fact that Maester Luwin kept a copy of all the raven's scrolls? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the look he gave the Maester talking to Sansa when he said that just seemed like a bit of interest. Gotta agree on the "RIP Olenna", but, hey, at least she really got to drop the mic there in her last moments! Too bad it was Jamie, though, who had to suffer her smugness and not Cercei herself. He's a pretty decent guy after all, and as much as a c*nt as Joffrey really was, he was still Jamie's son. I actually felt bad for him. I did NOT, however, feel bad for Ellaria Sand and her daughter when Cercei got her revenge on them! They killed Myrcella, they betrayed and murdered Dr. Bashir Prince Doran and his son and soooooo had it coming!! Nice going, Cercei! Bye bye, Sand Snakes! I liked the whole stuff with Jon and Ser Davos at Dragonstone. It's so funny to me that it's the same place Stannis was all the time, but (probably to give the audience something fresh) we barely ever see any of the sets they had been using before, except occasionally the room with the map. In turn, it seems hilarious that Stannis never used the pretty throne room, despite having insisted on his title as "rightful king" just as much as Daenerys insists on hers as "rightful queen". The meeting between Jon and Tyrion was awesome, yeah! They really work well together. Two people who grew up around power, but still were pushed to the sidelines, even if in different ways. G.R.R. Martin really loves cripples, bastards and broken things! As much as things between Jon and Daenerys weren't all hunky-dory from the start, they still felt weirdly equal to each other - despite the lack of proper introduction from Davos! Maybe the setting helped. Even with the throne, the advisers at Daenerys' side and the guards, it's not the throne room in Meereen, or the one in the Red Keep. Daenerys might have come off more as a ruler talking to her subject there than she did here, talking to Jon. Not that she didn't try, of course. But, well, Jon might really have spent too much time with the Wildlings. He ain't a kneeler no more! Personally, I kept thinking "Come on, auntie, don't be like that!" while Daenerys was arguing for Jon to swear his fealty to her! Btw, Jemma Simmons, any chance we could have a GoT sub-board here? That'd be great!

WHAT?! Did they just kill off Jaime I wouldn't start worrying just yet. People thought Jon Snow was dead, too, ya know?

Yeah, I never thought Jon Snow was a gonner for a second. 😉 I guess partially because I've read the books. I seriously doubt Jaime is gone either because I'm pretty sure he's the younger brother Maggie the Frog mentioned in her prophecy. If so, he'll end up being the one to kill Cercei.

WHAT?! Did they just kill off Jaime No, I'd say most decisively not! Bron pushed him into the water just in time, after all. The way this scene played out, it's a great way to get both characters out of the battle alive, while saving face - or rather, actually being heroic - at the same time. I don't think the same will be true for Sam's brother... Man, what a slaughter, though! I actually found myself cheering for Bron to hit the dragon with the ballista, just because the fight was so frickin one-sided. I want to see how well that Dothraki dude fights, when he just came out of another battle, a long march, and his people are going up in flames left and right from him! Jerk! All in all, incredible episode imo. Loved Arya's return to Winterfell (notice the scene with the guards at the gate mirroring a S1 scene in Kings Landing!), Littlefinger's attempts at sweet talking Bran getting totally ignored, and the fight between Arya and Brienne was just awesome. Although, at the same time I was kind of pissed Arya did that, especially in front of Littlefinger! Winter is here and they're surrounded by enemies; getting underestimated can be a big advantage, she shouldn't have given that up just like that. With all the reunions on the show fans have been waiting for, the moment when Theon landed on Dragonstone, only to run straight into Jon really caught me off guard. Of course it was obvious that this was going to happen, but it had entirely slipped my mind until the moment Theon pulled the boat onto the shore, at which point I gasped audibly! Really looking forward here to next week and what's gonna happen next. I want Theon to be forgiven! Yes, he did horrible things, but as far as I'm concerned, he paid for them a hundred times over! It's time to move on, for him, for Jon and all the others. Also, with all the fast travelling that is going on on the show atm, I'm gonna be really disappointed if Ser Jorah takes more than another week to get from Oldtown to Dragonstone! His Khaleesi is waiting for him!!! (And so am I!)

Besides, I'm also pretty sure he's the brother in Maggie the Frog's prophecy regarding Cersei. As far as the carnage with the dragon, the showrunners said they tried to think of what it might look like to bring an F16 to a medieval style battle and went with that. I think mission was accomplished there.

I think mission was accomplished there. Yeah, I thought the battle was definitely realistic, in terms of how it would play out with a dragon (and a huge army) in the mix. Still felt bad for the Lannister soldiers, though. This is actually one of the things I love most about this show, things are not just black and white. Sure there are real monsters (Joffrey, Ramsay, Walder Frey) and a-holes (Lord Tarly, Alliser Thorne) in the mix, but most of the time you have just regular people and decent guys, who ended up on different sides simply by being born in one area or another. Like Jamie said about the Tyrell soldiers, they didn't deserve to die, but their ruler made a choice and they had to pay the price. Cercei is probably the one character where my feelings vary the most from sympathy to hate, depending on the scene. Ever time she's a bitch to Tyrion, I want to see her pushed from the walls of the Red Keep, but then she's crying over one of her children or suffering from what the High Sparrow and his people did to her and I'm feeling sorry for her again and cheer when she's getting revenge for that.

Damn, so much happened in the new ep! Winterfell is turning into Gossip Girl, Daenerys is now officially the centre of a love triangle and (almost) all the coolest people are heading north of the wall! But ultimately, there's only one thought running through my mind right now: For f*ck's sake, Sam!!! The one time you don't care about some random knowledge from a book, it just so happens to be the most important book in all the seven kingdoms! Gosh damn it to the heck! #$@&%!!!!!!

Still love the show, but damn, do I have it with the lazy writing this season! I bet GRRM is rotating in his (way too comfy) armchair right now as the show writers go through every lazy trope known to men in an effort to cut down both the episode number and the budget. Fast travel? Check! Handing out plot armor for breakfast? Check! Bringing along a bunch of red shirts to kill off? Check! Making the villains act utterly stupid in order not to have all the good guys die? Check! And last but not least, wasting one of the arguably coolest characters on the show in a trite, clichéd and totally unnecessary sacrifice scene? Check, check and CHECK!!! On, and on that note: Also, I kinda wanna punch Arya in the face for being such a bitch to Sansa. (Although I'd never dare to, because she'd probably kill me if I even looked at her funny!) Speaking of budget issues btw: Ghost, where you at?!? We miss you!

You, my friend have been seduced by the darkest of the dark side. Did you do dinner with Darth last night? How can anyone cheer for Cercei! No, nuh-uh, no way Jose, nope, nah, nein, not in a million winters is that ever gonna happen in my house.
