A new summer series about an impending killer-asteroid strike on Earth. Looks very interesting, and it starts next Wednesday, July 12th, at 9pm E.T., on CBS.

Shows like this usually turn out really good, or really bad. I'm hoping for the former.

So, Jemma Simmons, I am putting in the first formal request to move our mid-week re-watch back to Tuesdays. At least til this show proves or disproves its worth.

Watched the pilot. It was OK. My first impression is that it will probably wear thin quickly, though. If it weren't a summer show, I'd probably not continue, but since it is a summer show I'll give it a few more eps.......

It was okay. I will probably watch one more before deciding to keep on or give up.

My take:

It could have been great, but way too much soap opera got mixed in. I really do like the fast pace of the show, yet it is also a double edged sword..things happen rather quickly, and you don't have time to invest in the characters. Ignoring the usual dumb plotslines that haunt most shows like this one--

(i.e., young grad student in one day gets top secret clearance to D.O.D. info, that is being hidden from the entire Congress; press secretary steals security codes and sneaks nuclear material off a base in the middle of the night, etc., etc.)

It really is pretty watchable, and ended on a note that makes me want next season. Just curious if anyone else watched it.

Nice to see some feedback on this thread! I did not realize s2 had started already. Now I have to go hunting.

I'm really surprised that we are the only ones following this. Its one of the 'least worst' of the many shows currently out there . And I do mean that in a good way

Jemma Simmons: I will say that is one thing that Agatha All Along got right. They did a phenomenal job of planting hints throughout but it not really being obvious until the end. Reminded me of WandaVision that way. Nov 10, 2024 23:03:26 GMT
