does this thread deserve it's own sub-board, Jemma Simmons ? Is anyone interested in talking about it? After all, I AM Elrond's grandfather, and just as much, 30+ generations of Aragorn's forefathers! FFS!

I'm up for a discussion of TLotR! As far as giving it its own sub-board, let's see if anyone else joins in.

I will gladly join for a discussion of LOTR, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion.... Oh gosh, polgara !. Get me started on the Silmarillion and I may never stop I STILL wish someone would make a movie of just the chapter, 'Beren and Luthien'. Best love story I have ever read!. I do miss Juan, though.. And, poor Beren! There wasn't a Fitz to correct his missing hand, back in those days!

Have you ever read "Bored of the Rings" by the Harvard Lampoon?
It's a must read companion to middle-earth.
BWAhahahahaha....

Are you kidding me, backroadjunkie? Gotta love Frito! (and that other Baggins character too--I'm being polite for the ladies here, they are kinda prudish ) Have not read it in far too many years, though.

Well, you know what you're in for when right in the Foreword, they admit the purpose of the book is to make a buck. For years afterward, my mind didn't associate the name "Bilbo" with the older hobbit...

Didn't feel like making a new thread on the movie board just to share this: Anyway, to stay a bit more on topic, I only ever read the LotR trilogy, back then when the first movie had been released. I think I found it a bit... exasperating at times. Still good, though, obviously!
