Do you think May and Coulson ever got around to telling Fitz and Simmons why they were recruited to Coulson's team?

I mean, I sort of *hope* they know because I feel like they deserve to know...

Although, that would be a rather awkward conversation: "Yeah, you're here because I needed your help fixing Coulson's head in case things went wrong."

Just wondering...
