They've said this about Dalton before, so I'll take it with a grain of salt. I don't think ayanami will like this article, though. Clickety click

They've said this about Dalton before, so I'll take it with a grain of salt. I don't think ayanami will like this article, though. Clickety clickActually, I really do, though. When the real Ward died, I was cheering a whole lot more than many other people out there. Even at the time I said that I wouldn't be against a guest appearance down the line, but I was still immensely relieved to be done with the character. Clinging onto the character for the sake of the actor (and the horde of fangirls that accompany him) had been dragging down the plot and with it the quality of the whole show imo. Hive remedied that for a while, but it was still about time for Brett's permanent presence on AoS to end. That said, I loved his guest appearence in the final pod of the season and it basically surpassed all my wildest hopes! They didn't make Ward perfect; he was still a highly flawed individual with a very noticeable dark side, but they clearly showed that he had a lot of goodness inside him as well and that it was really just Garrett's influence that had corrupted RL Ward beyond any hope of redemption. Drawing the parallel between him and evil-Fitz was just the icing on the cake, really! But, as much as I enjoyed these few eps with good-Ward - and as much as I would have wished him a happier ending than simply being erased from existance without ever seeing "his" Skye again - I was and still am rather firmly against bringing that version of Ward into the real world. Or any other version, for that matter. The real Ward had his run and FW Ward doesn't belong in this world to begin with. I simply see no point in bringing him to a place where everyone hates his face and where the woman he loves is someone else entirely. People need to give it a rest! Now, if we were talking about bringing back Hunter and Bobbi, though...

The worst part of this article:
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5 premieres January 2018 on ABC."
