-----Note: This thread may end up containing spoilers for previous MCU content----
(just fair warning for those that have not viewed all of the MCU) This is meant to be kind of a silly thread...though if you do have genuine questions or need help figuring something out, by all means ask (you know me... I'm happy to try and answer questions). What brought this on, though, is I'm listening to the first Avengers movie at work (that's right, *listening*...because, you know, watching a movie at work would be wrong). Get to the fight between Thor and Hulk on the helicarrier....one thing that always gets me wondering, given the time from when he summons to Mjolnir to when it appears in his hand.... did helicarrier #64 have some Mjolnir shaped holes in it from it traveling from wherever Thor had put it in order to get to Thor's hand?Just one of those silly thoughts. Feel free to share yours. Side note: It is interesting to listen to Gideon Malick in this movie once you know what his true allegiance is from AOS season 3 (makes his dialogue all the more sinister)

I got one:
End of Thor TDW, Sif delivers the aether to The Collector because they already had the tesseract on Asgaard and didn't want to have two Infinity Stones in one place.....
In GotG, the power of the Power Stone is unleashed.... in the Collectors showroom (where he has the aether stored?)
Shouldn't the unleashing of the "power" in the vicinity of another Infinity Stone have left Nowhere a drifting cloud of cosmic dust?

I've seen that get mentioned a few times, some have theorized that The Collector could have moved the Aether to one of his other 'museums' (from what I gather, in the comics at least, he's got quite a few of them?) in between the events of the T:TDW credit scene and the events of GotG

Oh I know, and I'm usually among the first to point out that what's true in the comics is not always going to be true in the films. So I fully acknowledge that the Collector having the Aether and having the Power stone doing what it does to his museum is a potential plot...er... maybe not hole, maybe a plot divot? But it's also one that could potentially be filled in as we continue with Phase 3/have things culminate in A:IW & A4 (i.e. when Thanos comes to get the Aether it could be revealed to have been in a location other than Knowhere)

nillindeiel I finally watched Doctor Strange and have one quick question: Near the end of the movie Mordo used the word reckoning. My spidey sense is tingling like I've heard that word before in the MCU. Did someone else previously use that word in a similar context in the MCU?

Not that I recall, but it would probably require a total MCU rewatch just to be sure.

FWIW, just because Sif suggests that it's not safe to have two in one place doesn't mean The Collector is similarly cautious. So the Aether could still be on Knowhere. Though it seems more likely that he's got a few places he keeps his precious collectibles.

Though it seems more likely that he's got a few places he keeps his precious collectibles. Yeah, it was obvious he wasn't similarly cautious. It's just I remember in GotG I remember saying "now he's got two" when it was revealed the orb was the power stone, then when the power stone got angry I was wondering about the danger with it being in the same place as the Reality Stone. Hell, who knows, he could have already given/sold it to Thanos....... Was just basically wondering if an Infinity Stone unleashing it's power would affect any other stones in the immediate area that aren't contained in the Gauntlet....... No source knowledge on "I" stones. Never read that story when I was reading comics....... but I do know it's gonna make for a helluva epic movie. :-)

I've read Thanos Quest and The Infinity Gauntlet and it doesn't seem that the stones can influence each other.
