I literally can't believe I'm saying this, but I could be happy with 5. I always wanted at least 7, yet the show has gotten SO good, I could live with them taking one more season to wrap up some still dangling story lines, with the same class they have shown in the second half of s4.
I just can't imagine them keeping up this level of writing and acting for an indefinite period, and I would sure rather see it go out on a high note, rather than getting a really sour dessert of a couple of crappy final seasons.
But hey, if they keep the top chefs on board, I'll keep eating forever, don't get me wrong! Just a thought.

The A-Team TV series eventually got a bit boring because the shows followed the same format, with the team doing wacky weapons building to save the day. AoS has nowhere near gotten into such a formulaic rut. It has the potential to be fun and exciting for years to come.

Five seasons is enough for me. Besides, I'm sure the cast will want to move on to other projects!

As many as they can make. As long as they keep producing compelling TV, I'll keep watching.

Oh, I"m with all of you, all the way. As I said, I'll keep eating as long as the food is good. And they have set an exceptionally high bar for themselves. I would just hate to see this show go down the way Lost or Castle did, you know?

At least one more, but three more (so there's seven) is fine too.

I used to say five would be enough because this is a genre show that doesn't have an episodic nature (atleast it hasn't since early season one) and I know that it's expensive.
However, all this talk about season 4 possibly being the last has made me reconsider that and now I want as many as we can get. Not just because of the show and the characters, but the cast.
The AoS cast is my favorite cast of a currently-airing show and I'd feel bad for them when the show ends. You can tell that they genuinely care for each other and you just know that they'd feel worse than a generic cast of a cancelled show when it ends.
Plus, I'm not sure if Hollywood would be nice enough to give CG and MNW jobs if AoS ends. The others will be fine, though.

At least one more, but three more (so there's seven) is fine too. Do you think it was TNG that set the 'Rule of 7' mark? That seems to be the number of seasons that shows aim for before ending these days.

I just can't imagine them keeping up this level of writing and acting for an indefinite period, and I would sure rather see it go out on a high note, rather than getting a really sour dessert of a couple of crappy final seasons. I want the show to continue at least through Infinity War. Remember that (other than the Inhuman arc), the events on AoS have largely followed what's happened in the MCU. So long as the MCU stays grounded on Earth, the writers will have plenty of fresh material, perhaps even more that the Inhumans series is coming out. I wasn't sure where the showrunners were going to go this season, but they did a fantastic job, probably their best season. I wouldn't write them off just yet. (<-- haha, pun.) After phase 4? Who knows...
