But future Barry specifically said that he made time remnants to fight Savitar, so I guess it had to have been one of those.

Barry made the time remnants to look for Savitar, so how could Savitar exist before the time remnants were created? This is what I mean by convoluted. They are saying the cause is the effect is the cause. Evil Barry kills Iris, leaving Barry without the love of his life, setting him up to be Evil Barry. All he had to do is not kill Iris and none of this happens. The only way any of this makes a modicum of sense is if Evil Barry comes out of Flashpoint.
