For the TL;DR, essentially the L+7 is great, live audience is down from 0.8 to 0.7 and they say renewal is likely, though probably not for a full season due to The Inhumans. They seem to think there will be a split schedule. Take with a grain of salt. Linky link

Good news! I would be satisfied with a 10-12 episode final season. Get rid of the filler crap, and make the storylines solid!

I would stop short at calling episodes filler, but the storytelling seems more streamlined this time around due to breaking the season down into Pods. I'd love to see them use the same format next season. There's some running themes and interconnected concepts, but it really feels like we got 3 mini-seasons.

I'll take a renewal any way I can get it.

I'll take a renewal any way I can get it. Yeah, I want a full season (and more!) but I'll take a partial final season if they're able to wrap the show up in a satisfactory way.

I would love a season five, six, or even a lucky season seven, of course.
However, I've found the act of internet sites and podcasting personalities saying one week that "AoS will be probably be cancelled after this season", but then saying the next week, "No, it'll probably get a season five with such and such limitations" to be rather annoying.
This isn't me being optimistic or pessimistic, I just can't imagine that *anyone* has a clue what the ABC/Disney/Marvel execs are thinking right now, especially since we all thought 'Most Wanted' was a sure thing and that will never see the light of day. And you just know that stuff goes on behind the scenes that we will never know about because they take place in closed offices and in hushed voices.
Also, I'm happy just living in ignorant bliss with my fingers crossed until they make the announcement because every time there's a conversation about AoS's possible renewal...there's a conversation about it's possible cancellation and I'm sick of hearing about it from people who, in the words of Sgt. Schultz, 'Know nothing. *Nothing*.'
...*Deep breath*...#RantOver

I'm sure there's wheeling and dealing going on behind the scenes we'll never hear about. Like I said... grain of salt here.

I'm 24 and have all 6 seasons of 'Hogan's Heroes' and all 11 seasons of 'M*A*S*H' on DVD, what of it? Peter Newkirk is my spirit animal.

Well, just do what I do. Ignore them. It's pretty easy. Until Bob Iger or Channing Dungey calls me up and says they've cancelled the show, it's all rumor and innuendo. (And I doubt I'll get a call from Bob or Channing. ) There's no reason AoS can't get a full season 5. Inhumans is 10 eps. Like Agent Carter, Inhumans could easily be used as a filler. Heck, the two shows could cross-over later in the season. I will be very disappointed if we never see Agents of Shield: Infinity War. Watching SHIELD prep for Thanos would be very cool... The other thing that no one seems to talk about, is how the show is doing versus previous shows in the same time slot. Tuesday 9c/10e (as far as I can remember) is were ABC shows go to die.
