I see the title of Episode 4x22 is out as well. I wonder if "an even deadlier enemy" is misdirection. If not, perhaps it will be some sort of supernatural menace associated with The Darkhold, to tie the whole season together.

I doubt it's misdirection; however, they'll probably try to make it something we don't expect. I hope they DO bring the Darkhold back into play and wrap up that arc. I'm wondering what season ending cliffhanger they'll hit us with this year. Hopefully they'll let Jemma Simmons (and, by association, Fitz) off the hook this time and screw with someone else..........

I hope so, too but it seems to be their favourite thing to do in the very last scene. /Maybe it'll be more dealing with Mack losing Hope again . /I should make my own version of the "Leave Brittney Alone" video...

As long as there is another season. Nothing hurts more than a cliffhanger without a resolution.

Maybe Darkhold somehow possesses someone... And they have to fight a more corporeal version of Darkhold. On another note: Yay, Talbot's back. Here's hoping for some more great one-liners from him.

In comics, the Darkhold never had a conscience, it's "just" a powerful and dangerous book (that can corrupt those who read it until they lose their souls and become possessed by Chton ). It seems that the AoS version is more of less the same (the corruption is more of a "personality corruption", Eli got himself a God-complex and Aida...it's kind of hard to know because she was still "growing" at that time)

Eli got himself a God-complex My brother-in-law is a doctor. I used to think he had a God complex until I realized he wasn't humble enough.

I want to be one myself and after have seen and working with some, i'll do everything i can to stay myself and not becoming a grade-A jerk

Oh God, it sounds like there will be a ton of stuff carrying over to Season 5....if we get it. I just hope The Superior puts up a good fight this time. They have really wasted his character so far.

They have really wasted his character so far.Agreed! But I have to say that his short moments in the promo look very promising to me. I'm not fooling myself into believing in him surviving for a potential S5 return, but he better go out swinging!

As long as there is another season. Nothing hurts more than a cliffhanger without a resolution. sigasahab , you got that right, for sure... they are going to have to do some fancy footwork on the last two episodes, at this point, to provide closure and at the same time, possibilities for more stories to come. If this show even comes CLOSE to ending forever on a true cliffhanger, I will probably never forgive them. [edit: and P.S., please do something worthwhile with the so-called 'superior', or kill him off in the first minute of the next episode..he has been so totally lame as a 'main villian', its pathetic.]

Besides seeing May leave SHIELD at the end of season 2, she's never had a major scene at the end of a finale. Neither has Mack for that matter (okay, yeah, he was with Coulson at the end of the last season but the scene wasn't at all about him) So, May and Mack will probably be shot or drowned or something in the ending of the finale.
