Hail Hydra, friends. Why and what would be the purpose of the framework from the AIDA's pov or from the Darkhold's pov? I have had some theories collected during the course of the last few episodes about this. - Just to get rid of the head of Shield and take over the real world by LMD's. - To create an evil reality within the framework and make that the reality the real one. Assuming that the Darkhold can do that. - A variant of the previous one. To create and evil reality that directly influences what happens in the real world - To make Fitz evil and get him back in the real world and have there a man with the evilness and experience to conquer the real world (a theory of him becoming MODOK has been proposed: link) - One theory of my own that I haven't seen anywhere else and never spoke any word of it . Use this conflict and the genius of Fitz that forces Fitz to invent something that the Darkhold/AIDA could use in the real world. - Similar to the last one. Create a fictional world as a labotory experiment where the Darkhold learns how each member would react and respond and possible learn something about the human race, so that the quantum brains infested LMD's can take over the real world. Thoughts?

Some interesting theories and elaborations of theories. For me, the fact that Aida's secret is called Project Looking Glass strongly suggests that it hinges on the worldwide parallel between the real Earth and The Framework. That's what first made me start thinking in terms of an invasion in this thread here Now, because The Framework remains presumably non-material, the only invasion that made sense to me was the idea of the individual consciousness of the Framework inhabitants being projected into their real-life counterparts and taking them over.
It does occur to me that the longer the Framework simulation goes on, the less like the real world it gets, making a smooth transfer increasingly awkward. I really can't see the idea of Hydra forces physically stepping out of the Framework however.

Thoughts? To me, I think that everything that AIDA has been doing is, from her POV, to protect the humanity. But Radcliffe's mad-scientry (not a real word, I don't care) was so sciencey, she was becoming her own person, with her own thoughts and feelings. Her reading the Darkhold corrupted her programming and gave her knowledge she needed to attain what she needed to be a real being: emotions. This new found knowledge and the prospect of living in a a world where she could be human, coupled with her core programming led her to take the FW and make it a real world simulation. Project Looking Glass, her creation in the FW, is meant to act as a 'Theta Protocol'- of sorts, since the nosey SHIELD agents have proven adept at thwarting her and she knows that she did not have physical control of 2 of them. I don't actually see the book as take-over-the-world evil. To me it's just a cursed book that gives it readers the knowledge they need to achieve their biggest dreams and desires. Like the Monkeys Paw for instance. Nothing we've seen tells me the book has its own plans for world domination or the like.

I assume she was initially following Radcliffe's programming that it would create a better, more peaceful world for people to live in. Since they've used the darkhold to create an entire copy of Earth and all it's inhabitants, then that means there is an avatar for each and every person in the real world to be uploaded into.
I think Aida is now using it though for personal gains. She wanted to become a real person and to feel. And through Madame Hydra she is able to do that. I assume project Looking Glass is a way for the human framework version of her to transfer into the real world. And I imagine she'll want to take evil Fitz with her since she's programmed and brainwashed him to be in love with her and do her bidding.

Very possible theory. But I don't think so based on that something has to be done with the Superior and the Quantum brains. Unles they fit in your theory somehow. And what happens after they get out of the framework?

My possible ideas of taking over world is mosstly coming from that. And via that the Darkhold.

Sure she did use them in her LMD's, but they only gave them a 'realism' that they couldn't get from human (or her own) programming. I don't think the brains themselves are evil, just the ones programming them. Again, it's a monkey's paw situation. Although, since AoS is no longer my 'go-to' Netflix/Amazon selection I could be forgetting a detail from earlier in the season that would change my mind.

I think they've been laying clues. I don't think the Framework has an endgame, but AIDA surely does. The Framework is just a tool.
In Ep17, AIDA tells Fitz that she was "a slave, treated as less than human," on the other side, and if she "can't return there and defeat her enemies they'll never leave her alone...", but she clearly exists in the real world. Just not like she wants to be.
In Ep 18, when Daisy pointedly asks AIDA what she wants from the Framework, she answers, "What everyone else has. A choice."
I still think she's Pinocchio. She wants to escape her programming and become real.
From a show standpoint, if Fitz actually does open a portal between the Framework and the real world, then the showrunners have a legit way to bring back Ward, Trip and Mac's daughter, and the rebirth of HYDRA. I mean, even Bakshi exists in the Framework...

I still think she's Pinocchio. Apologies for doubting you about that!

I mean, even Bakshi exists in the Framework... Or Evil Fitz. I have this idea that first Fitz will be disconnected from the Framework and will be good again. AIDA then will build a body for Fitz' s evil avater as well and he will come into real reality.
