My brother pointed out that the theme song for Barnaby Jones was a reflection of Barnaby himself. It has a soft and gentle flute part with a fast paced part underneath. Behind Barnaby's laid back exterior was a very sharp and quick mind. I'll see your Barnaby Jones and raise you a Streets of San Francisco with some gorgeous shots of one of my favorite cities and a young Michael Douglas. You have to love a Quinn Martin production!

polgara Those are interesting, but not the best singers I've ever heard. I think I'll stick to instrumental on that one, like Squeek Steele on the piano.

Bearcats! starring he-man Rod Taylor. I don't agree with the youtube commentator who remembers the pilot movie as boring. I reckon it was far better than the series itself.

Sword of Justice was cancelled after nine episodes but had a lively theme and opening credits which re-cap the basic premise with textbook perfection. Everybody loves the unlikely 'precision acrobat' willing to pass on his skills to our proto-superhero.
