I was a huge fan of the original movie when it came out. The sequels, eh, not so much. So, I was excited when I learned this was going to be a series. I watched the pilot when it first aired, or shortly thereafter and it looked interesting, but I never got around to the rest of it until now.
Just a couple of days ago, I re-watched 1x01, the pilot, and as is typical, it is basically an introduction to the characters, and a rather broad-brushed stroke hinting at the story to come.
Then, I got to 1x02! Absolutely delightful, and totally what I was expecting to find. I was very happy to see that this is not a re-boot, but actually builds on the original movie.
Led me directly without pause, into 1x03, straight into 1x04 and 1x05.
Then I hit 1x06. The first half concerned me, I felt the ground getting shaky. That didn't last long! The second half of the episode gets quite interesting!
1x07 does just as good a job at keeping you interested.
THEN, 1x08... Wow, just WOW. I loved it so much, I had to stop long enough to come make this thread.
Now, I have 2 more to go, which I am sure will happen early today! And, we may well need to have another thread, 'Westworld-Full of spoilers', because I know some here have not seen it yet, and there is already so much I want to discuss
