The writers finally got rid of Mace. Now the rest of this season (and season 5) will be about Daisy stepping into the Director's Role. Coulson, May and Talbot will make sure she gets it. Simmons? Forget about it. She only got her rank because of Mace, and she was a cocky brat to May & Talbot. No one will follow Simmons over Daisy....except maybe Fitz. Speaking of Mace, I'm glad he got to be an inhuman bad@ss for a couple episodes. The Framework Mace should have been the REAL Mace. But no, they had to make the REAL Mace a pathetic bureaucrat. A weak impostor so DAISY could become director in the end. It makes me sick to see what Mace could have been all this time! At least those writers gave Mace a heroic death. RIP Mace....

They will make Fitz the new director. He's got the experience now to run an organization like Shield. Effecient and effective Simmons was great with May and Talbot, not cocky.

Daisy would be a little shaky as Director.

That was the Mace he was in the real world, only there he never had real powers. He was still heroic, though, and wanted to protect people.

The Mace in the first 8 episodes was a scheming, controlling bureaucrat...in my humble opinion. Framework Mace was no bureaucrat, and would have worked with Coulson much better.

I'm sorry but I do NOT want to see Director Daisy Johnson, comics or no comics.
If *Coulson* couldn't handle the job with objectivity then there is no way Daisy can, atleast not in the next five years.
If anyone on the team should get the job it should be Simmons (she's everyone's boss anyway) or May (and only because of them all, she can separate emotions and loyalties from the job at hand the best, even though she does still fail now and then). Now, if I had a say in the matter, we'd see Director Weaver because in my opinion no member of Coulson's team should get the job, mostly because all of them seem too loyal to eachother (blatantly showed in the first half of this season with the exception of Daisy).
Do I think we will see Director Daisy Johnson on screen. Yes?
Do I think it's a good idea? Hell no.

I have my fan fic already mapped out in my head and I hope it goes down like my fic. :-)
