I'm curious to know what you would call this vehicle?
I know what I call it, but I'm interested in seeing how much of a regional thing the terminology is. I call it a 4 Wheeler

I know what I call it, but I'm interested in seeing how much of a regional thing the terminology is. While living in AZ and visiting family in CA they were referred to as ATV's and/or quads. In AR they're 4 wheelers.

In AR they're 4 wheelers. Yep, they're 4 wheelers in MO too. Maybe it's a Midwest/Southwest vs East Coast/West coast thing. The only reason I brought this up is because I had written to my favorite AoS Podcast about the episode before 'What If' and they didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned the four wheeler that Daisy packed withexplosives to start a fire on the base. It got me wondering just how different the names for it are around d the country.

The broad, general term for these are "Off-Highway Vehicles", or OHV's...

Growing up here in (northern) Utah, I actually heard them referred to as both ATV's and 4-Wheelers. Which one I heard depended on the neighbor. The neighbor that actually owned them tended to go with 4-Wheeler If you're interested in other regional differences for words (and pronunciations): www.theblaze.com/news/2013/06/06/50-fascinating-maps-that-show-the-difference-in-the-way-americans-talk/ (I kind of wish the original website that the guy who did this study had put up was still functioning, but alas it's not - at least all links that I've found to it aren't working and I haven't seen any new links if he moved it somewhere else. This was the site I found that had the largest number of his maps)
