Long term poll, closing April 13, 2018. You can vote for up to three movies, I am looking for a 'plurality' of opinions. For sure, there are some gems and some dogs in the list . For me, its Kahn (best story), Voyage Home (funniest), and the reboot Star Trek (refreshing backstory and great great casting job). Your turn! And please, leave a note and tell us why you liked them best!

I think the only one I didn't care much for was the one where Kirk died .

I was about to reply to you, probably no need for spoiler tags at this point, but after seeing what you said, that is very thoughtful of you, for the few who may not know Nice job, aquaangel !

Well, I figured with the new movies out, there is likely a whole batch of new ST fans. They might want to go back and watch all of the old stuff.

I said 'First Contact' because I have a closer relationship with TNG than I do TOS and Sir Patrick is a boss.

I said 'First Contact' because I have a closer relationship with TNG than I do TOS and Sir Patrick is a boss. Its definitely one of the best. To both you and ayanami I really want everyone to pick THREE movies they liked. I feel that with a large response, this method provides a more accurate result regarding popularity. Go pick a couple more! {edit: on a personal poo-list, I will be surprised if Star Trek 5 gets a single vote. That movie sucked! }

Does anyone know if they are planning more ST movies? And if so, how they are going to handle the Chekov character since the actor died?

(But,) I do have reasons for liking them both. I think my liking of *all* 4 TNG movies stems from me being a new fan and not having that connection to remembering being disappointed after seeing them in theaters. Since I saw them for the first time so recently, I could take them for what they were without expectations. It's similar to why IJ: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is my favorite of that franchise: it's the first one I saw in theaters (because I was actually alive). I saw the last JJVerse movie in theaters. I liked that one, but I didn't pick it because I feel like I have better connection to the TNG characters (which is why I also didn't choose any of the TOS movies).

I've just cast one vote for Voyage Home on behalf of my dad because it was his favourite movie.

I've just cast one vote for Voyage Home on behalf of my dad because it was his favourite movie. There were some good scenes in that one. The people who disagree with me are usually quite passionate about it, but one of my favorites is the ship decloaking over the whaling ship. There was a movie missed in the poll: "Dammit Jim, I'm a corpse not a doctor!"

Computer?..." lets not leave out transparent aluminum, either!

Since I already have the scene mentioned and there aren't any other movie threads, I'll put this here... Saw an article about whaling protesters giving up because the Japanese government is giving the whale hunters a tactical edge www.yahoo.com/news/sea-shepherd-pulls-plug-japan-whale-hunt-004630452.htmlApparently this sea shepherd group doesn't know that the best deterrent to whaling ships is a Klingon Bird of Prey (and yes, I put it in the comments section for the article).
