I have collected my thoughts on the newest ep.
First I have to start off with: Fitz's hair.
Simmons performance in this episode is IMO her best. I loved her scene with Coulson where she tried to get through his head. Great scene.
Hydra's main goal seems to be to capture, question, test and do whatever they do with Inhumans. But when Coulson told his class that Hydra are in business for centuries I wondered how he would react if he knew the true purpose of Hydra and why it was founded: to worship and get back the Inhuman Hive?
Is this goal that Hydra, Fitz and Madam Hydra have for themselves just the result of having them in power? Because what motivation can Madam Hydra have to hunt for Inhumans and fight against the resistance? If she doesn't like it she can always reprogram it. It's fake anyway. Or is the more at play?
Fitz as the evil Doctor is totally cool. I just don't buy that Fitz became evil because Simmons is stolen from his life. He has a 180 degrees different personality here. There has to be more at stake here. I thought it was interesting that Madam Hydra told him that she he closed the loopholes. Does Fitz know this world is fake? Also interesting is that Madam Hyudra wants his creativity. Of course she didn't want Fitz to see the picture of Jemma, but I am also wondering if she needs his creativity for purposes in the real world. To let him solve problems that she is faced with in the real world?
I think AIDA is inside and outside the framework at the same time.
And did we get a cameo from Deathlock?
Loved to see how Daisy and Simmons got to learn how the world in the framework is and how our heroes have gotten there place in it. And there different styles of discovering it all. It was just too fast paced and directly going to the part where the writers want it to go to IMO.
Coulson was the most interesting aspect of this episode IMO. He is just a teacher who discovers that in reality he has been a great leader who fought Hydra and perhaps also learning that not only his own life is fake but the whole world is. I wish we got see this more fleshed out from his point of view. But I thought in general that the episode was too fast paced.
