I wasn't sure how act 3 of the season was going to play out, but I admit it's taken an interesting turn.
I wonder when Ghostrider will show up. Seems just as likely as Ward being a Hero again...
The tribute to Paxton was a nice touch.

I'm enjoying the "what ifs" this Pod, too!

I finally watched it and wish I hadn't. That's an hour I will never get back. As usual for me too much Daisy and any Ward is too much. That actor is always so wooden to me and his deep breathing before every line spoken is so distracting that even my husband who is deaf to stuff like that notices it.
And did you have to throw it in Jemma's face that Coulson would recognize Daisy and not her. Why the hell is freaking Daisy so damn special? Guess what, she's not to everyone. Not everyone wants to tune into the Daisy show when they were promised the Coulson show. He is the main reason I tuned in and then stayed for him and May.
And I already had to sit through the ridiculousness of May being ordered about by Jemma but now by Fitz too. Someone who has been a Shield/Hydra agent for 30 years. And as usual maybe a whole 2 minutes total screen time for Ming. And I have to see her being sat at convention after convention panel before Chloe Bennett, yet Ming is second billing. At this point I hope Ming decides enough is enough.

There is that closeness that triggered him remembering, though I would say that Jemma's words had already triggered an obvious struggle within him. They only problem I had was them being so surprised no one really recognized them. Did they really think they'd only have to show up to break the hold of the framework?

Having trouble logging in due to storm getting worse so going to have to abandon computer here in a bit.
I get that she is like a daughter but Jemma has been too and in my opinion, a better one, She has done all that was asked of her and even more. Daisy is too busy running from every trouble she has ever had. And honestly Coulson has more father/daughter chemistry with Jemma. And frankly even though I don't care for the character, Elizabeth herself is just way better an actress.

And yet, in every story ever, the wayward son (or daughter in this case) is the more "special" one, compared to the one that's well behaved. Coulson has always seen Skye as a daughter in a way and she in turn thought of him as a father, that much has been spelled out to us multiple times. You might not like it, and disagree that Coulson should find anything remarkable in her, but that doesn't change the reality of the show. Seriously, if there was anyone capable of getting through to Coulson and make him remember them, relying on sheer sentiment, it was either Skye or May. With the latter also trapped in the framework, there was only one option left.

You are right in that is only one of 2 choices but that's the writers' problem for putting themselves into such a hole. I am sorry that I don't like Skye/Daisy but maybe I could if she wasn't constantly stealing the show and the TPTB could get over themselves. Some of the other characters I may not care for but at least they are watchable. It feels like being forced to read one of those awful Philinda family fics on fanfiction or AO3.

Oh gosh, @marle its fine that you don't like the Daisy/Skye character, yet really, even going back to the very pilot episode, she has been the second focus, (and in your defense, maybe the first), behind Coulson. The show has always revolved around the two of them, more than the others. I think they have done a great job of bringing so much focus on other characters as well, actually.I am not a comic reader, and so I cannot speak from personal experience, yet having just caught this show on it's pilot airing, without knowing a thing about their stories, it has always seemed that the final destination is leading toward 'Quake' being the true leader of the inhumans, taking over the mis-guided role her mom had about how things should be. Just as Raina predicted. Its not like Sky's influence over Coulson has not been telegraphed from Day 1. Why does this surprise you now? Or rather, disgust you?' We all have our favorite characters to dislike, so don't think I'm knocking or discounting your opinion! For example, I am so sick of Ward, I don't know what to do! I totally agree with you. Yet, I have never seen anything that was promising me 'the Coulson show'. Ming may act like she's being ordered around, but she has ALWAYS played the long game. Don't count her out just yet! Hang in there and take the show as a whole pie, not just a piece..its quite delicious! and I bet most of us will have our appetites filled before it is over. p.s. read this post with the knowledge that I kind of rambled a bit. I hope you got my point

And I already had to sit through the ridiculousness of May being ordered about by Jemma Ugh...don't remind me. Jemma was my favorite character until this season, when the writers messed her up. I wanted to strangle "Queen Jemma" for 13 episodes. Thankfully, she is now back to her normal self.
