I guess this lands in the Captain Marvel board but I really think it's more of a Ms. Marvel movie. She stood out the most for sure and I think the film is a perfect follow up for the Disney series and hopefully a launch for Ms. Marvel to be in more films/projects. She's a great hero but also a great representation of the MCU super-fan.
The best word for the film is "fun". It's definitely disjointed at the start and while the film does some great world-building for the MCU as a whole, it's not exactly at the same level as some earlier films. It's more of a movie than a film if you follow.
I enjoyed a lot, especially compared to other recent releases in the theatres.
Looking forward to seeing where they go next.

Ms. marvel does deserve high praise but let's not take away from Carol and Monica (and Goose). Both were great characters and well portrayed by their respective actors. No weak performances in my book. IMO the villain was a bit "less than" but the strength was in the story. I think it was more world cohesion than world building. Tied up a few things and set up a few things but definitely stayed well within the boundaries of past and present MCU with hints of what could come. This one won't be a one time watch for me. I'll probably watch it several times again. Oh, and those credit scenes.................. very interesting.

You know, I really enjoyed this one! It was nice for Carol to actually get to have some personality for a change. It was a fun watch and there was just the right amount of humour. I want a pet flerken! Seriously, the flerkens were awesome! It was nice to see the cameos. I wasn't expecting Valkyrie to make an appearance, or Kate Bishop. Obviously, we are going to eventually get a Young Avengers team-up. And I screamed when Kelsey Grammer turned up in the post-credits! I definitely agree that this is rewatch-worthy. I was concerned that they'd overdo the Ms. Marvel fangirling stuff, but I really enjoyed how Kamala fit into this story. I agree with DoTheMath that the main villain was a bit meh, but you know what? They weren't really the main focus of the story. The relationships among the main characters were the main focus, so I could overlook that a bit. Overall, a solid film!

Might have to rewatch this one soon. Enjoyed it in the theatre but haven't revisited since but your comments have made me feel like I should soon.
