This episode I will describe as dense, layered, nuanced, and finally detailed. Rewatch factor is high but almost requires a "Sherlock Holmes" type companion to discern what you are or are NOT seeing. The scenes appear to be at times quite whimsical but laced with an underlying thread of tension and horror between characters as we struggle (as viewers) to decide their motivations, convictions, and purpose.
As a kid I was a child carrying member of the Merry Marvel Marching Society and voracious reader of almost every issue that Marvel printed. It was a treat to just hear the name Balder the Brave and noting this Loki's reaction to him along with his continued jealousy of Thor.
My biggest fears for the wider success of this series is that many won't see or feel the forest because there are JUST so many trees, branches, roots, leaves and threads embedded into not only this series but the MCU in general. Everything being all connected is both thrilling and daunting and the writers and directors have to be in a perpetual state of panic trying to keep everything together. In many ways it feels just like the TVA attempting to get a handle on the timelines, branches, variants, and lives.
Great episode that ends on a verbal cliffhanger and not an action cliffhanger. 👍

Great take on the episode and I agree!
