I noticed these Easter eggs, but havent found the right forum to share them until now.
This ones from Episode 11, as Coulson and Yoyo approached Nadeers office, where it is labelled STAMFORD WING. Comic readers will remember that the first Marvel Civil War (2005) started because of an explosion caused by superheroes that killed many children in Stamford, Connecticut. I think they put this in there to show that Nadeers hatred for inhumans was due to some personal trauma caused by supers.
This next one was during LT Koenigs narration of where the Darkhold was hidden (PS: I LOOOVED the Koenigs. Wish they were a more regular presence on the show, but I guess having them in doses works!). The library is labelled PLEASANT HILL PUBLIC LIBRARY. A crossover event from last year, Assault on Pleasant Hill, was the event that brought the younger fit Captain America back into the Marvel Universe. However, he came back wrong as an agent of HYDRA (long story, but if you havent read it yet, weve got Wikipedia )
Now HYDRA Cap is taking over the Marvel Universe as one of the most menacing and deceptive villains in a long time (whether this is a good story or not, your mileage may vary) in a new crossover event coming this April, called SECRET EMPIRE (yeah, we are all tired of all the crossovers by now). In a nutshell, Hydra Cap helps HYDRA take over America and the world.
And Agents of SHIELD is running a similar storyline in Pod 3.
I guess I just love the fact that the show shows its ties not only to the MCU but also to the Marvel Comics.
Still holding out hope that the MCU, Marvel TV and Defendersverse crossover in some way soon. Even if they dont, well, Marvel still rocks.
OK, I geeked out a bit there. Sorry.
Would love to hear ...uh, read, your thoughts.
