Looks like the special effects are going to be great! I'm looking forward to this one. Definitely getting the feeling they're moving towards the Young Avengers. I mean, I thought that before with the recently introduced characters and it seemed pretty obvious that was the plan, but it looks to be falling into place.

Soooo.... No buzz on this one after release? I saw it, thought it was good. Some pretty cool elements (everything Kang).

This film received the second worst Rotten Tomatoes score of any MCU film. Ordinarily, I do not bother with films that get scores of 46% (39% from top critics) on Rotten tomatoes or 48 on Metacritic. When a film is part of a franchise, I sometimes feel that I have to see it anyway because it may link to better films. For example, this film introduces Kang, who is supposed to become a major villain in this phase of the MCU unless the actor's legal troubles interfere with that plan. The MCU may or may not have announced how they plan to deal with the situation. As for my opinion, I saw this film in late May and am only now bothering to posting my thoughts. I do not think that the film was as terrible as the reviews suggest, but it was bland and rather forgettable. I agree with those who say that a short film of Luis recapping this film would have been more entertaining. Among the issues that I have is that this film could have used more Wasp and less Ant-Man. It also could have used more humor. One thing in this film's favor is that it was interesting enough for someone to chime in with: Soooo.... No buzz on this one after release? I saw it, thought it was good. Some pretty cool elements (everything Kang). This puts this film ahead of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which was apparently so uninteresting that nobody on a site dedicated to a Marvel property cared enough to comment on the film itself. (For the record, I started a draft but did not care enough to finish a post.) I will put the rest of my thoughts in spoiler tags. Another thread on this site discussed an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. character who was supposedly recast. I suspect that the character in question was M.O.D.O.K. M.O.D.O.F.K., except that character never appeared on the show. The showrunners on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wanted to use the character but were not allowed to. Instead, Ivanov played a similar role on the show. On the other hand, an actress from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared in this film playing a different character than she did on the show. Katy O'Brian, who played Jentorra (the leader of the opposition to Kang) in the film, played one of Nathaniel Malick's minions in the last three episodes of the show, where she had one word of dialogue. I suppose that the characters did an OK job in trying to incite a rebellion, but I kept thinking that this guy gave a much better speech: Can Janet walk and talk at the same time? It seems like so many of the issues could have been averted if she only told the other characters what they needed to know. There would have been enough time for her to do so if she did not spend so much time saying that she did not have time to explain everything.
