Well, doesn't look like Jennifer is toning down her anti-male attitude any time soon. Looking in a room full of men and saying, "These dodos never had to deal with this on their first day at work." but she didn't have to deal with it at her previous job either. It's because of her being a hulk, not because of being female. I suppose they have to do things to get her to the position where she's in the private law firm with the powered individuals division, but it would be more realistic with current times for her to go to the press and get a massive public opinion backlash against the DA's office for her termination. I'd also say there would be several law firms that would be actively trying to hire her just for the publicity. Anyone else think she'll be getting Wong to testify on Blonsky's behalf?

Have to admit I didn't take that as anti-male. I can't say I noticed any women (or people of color) in that room she looked in when she made the comment, but I took it more about her being treated differently as a Hulk than as a woman.
I suppose there is a bit of comic history to try and work in as the character has often addressed gender roles, but I'm not getting "anti-male" here personally.

Perhaps I'm allowing this bit from the pilot to influence a bit: Do you see those attitudes here, maybe just a bit?

Do you see those attitudes here, maybe just a bit? I mean, is she wrong? I don't think she's speaking for all women or about all men and clearly the character carries a bit of history, but is she wrong? I see those types of attitudes toward women often enough (I work in high tech where it's still very much a thing with some people). I wouldn't be surprised if being a lawyer still had some of that gender bias too. The two men we see her interact with professionally in the first two episodes (her old co-worker and her new boss) certainly treat her that way. Though with her boss it's hard to know yet if it's a gender thing or a Hulk thing, but I think that's sort of what they're going for. Using "Hulk bias" as a stand in for other biases.

Changing the topic, YES I do think that Wong will be testifying after probably first convincing Jen that Blonsky has indeed turned over a new leaf. (Though I'm still skeptical myself.)
