Blessed be the Gods of the Internet As they have blessed us lowly outlanders with HIGH. Speed. Internet Their gift is fiber with low latency, sequential speeds, no data limits and at half the cost of Satan Spawned HughesNet. Will be installed on Monday, 3/21 Next step will be to say Adios to Dish TV Any cord cutters care to wiegh in on your streaming services? I'm flipping a coin between Hulu and YouTube TV...... Anyone have either of these and care to share the Pros and Cons of each? Disney+ is definitely on my list of services to get. Any other preferred favorites out there? Can you tell I'm excited?

I subscribed to Hulu a couple of years ago because they had picked production of season 3 of The Orville. I dropped them after a year because I'm still waiting for season 3 of The Orville. Outside of that, I barely used the service. I've got Amazon Prime and watch that sometimes. My wife actually got the Prime for the free shipping, but it also provides the video streaming and music streaming. I use the music streaming a lot more than the video since I can listen to it a decent amount at work. The downside is their music player isn't very good, but I'll leave it at that instead of giving the long rant.

My wife had (maybe still has?) Prime. She had Netflix but dropped it due to our inability to stream. Googled Orville S3: 'The Orville' Season 3 Premiere on Hulu Delayed to June 2022' Thanks for the input. I'll add it to my database.

I went from 5 Mbps to 150 (and that generally runs closer to 160) and not having constant lags and pauses when streaming was amazing! At this point, I don't even know how 5 was working at all. As far as streaming services, I have Hulu. I can find most things I wanted to see on cable there anywhere from a day to a week after it originally airs. I mostly use that to watch the newest episodes of SNL, but I also watch The Handmaid's Tale. Keep an eye for deals, because when Disney+ first went live they offered a discount if you already had a Hulu account. They also have a pretty decent selection of movies. I also recommend Paramount+ if you are a Star Trek watcher because that's where all the new series air. (You can find the old ones there, too.)

With HughesNot, even with everything set at standard def we'd get 10 - 15 minute buffers. It took 25 minutes to watch the first five minutes of a movie - friggin rediculous. Even just watching a trailer on this board could be an exercise in futility. I got the 500 Mbps plan for $69.00 a month. We'll see how it goes....... As for streaming, we're looking at YouTube TV vs. Hulu Live TV - YouTube is $65.00 per month and Hulu is $70.00 per month but includes Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. Each have their Pros and Cons.......

Wow! I’d be streaming stuff on all of my devices at the same time just because I could with speeds like that!

Still doesn'r seem real, yet. Did you check to make sure you don't have a data cap (or at least slowdown threshold)? No data cap, will not throttle. Only thing that will slow it down is congestion which I have not seen, yet. Time will tell as this is a new company and my area is only the second area activated. Just have to hope their infrastructure can handle their expansion.......
