I've been seeing the occasional theory floating around that Laura might be Mockingbird. The idea is that she seemed pretty handy with spy stuff (i.e. tracking the Rolex, speaking German so the kids couldn't figure out what she was saying to Clint, etc.) I just wonder if the people suggesting this are unfamiliar with Bobbi Morse either from the comics or AoS. I just find it weird that they are jumping to that conclusion.

She is NOT Mockingbird. She is Velma! She learned the investigative stuff from her days with Scooby.

Its not impossible that she was just a regular Shield agent either I just kind of figured given the nature of Clint’s work and Fury being involved with keeping Clint’s family off the radar, she’d have been given some basic info and maybe training.

Hey, don't dismiss the Velma theory so quick. Scooby Doo is now officially in the MCU, after all.

This would be a nice way to tie in the Hawkeye/Mockingbird relationship from the comics without "burning" Bobbi Morse. I also will suggest that the Rolex belonged to Phil Coulson and this will be how AoS gets canonized back into the MCU. (if that's the right term) Fans will assume it was Stark's but Coulson often wore a Rolex as well. And it could fit with other storylines if the watch is the key to some secrets about invaders of some kind etc.

It's interesting that in a show with two Hawkeyes and several Black Widows, people are still so obsessed with their bizarre 'canon' agenda that they can't swallow the idea of more than one Mockingbird. It has got to the point now, reading some of the articles on screenrant and elsewhere, that I'm beginning to think that it is some sort of mental disorder. People who have said a hundred times that AoS isn't 'canon' still can't resist writing yet more articles saying the same thing over again. So weird.
For those who have seen the last episode of Hawkeye, check out Jacob Stolworthy's embarrassing description of the back of the watch!

Embarrassing is an understatement... I loved AoS but i quickly came to terms it wasnt MCU canon (at least in a two ways direction) why are they crying so much about it? Is that because they made two Daredevil actors come back so magicaly everything has to be canon? And i agree Mockingbird is just a codename hell even Super-heroes that have a super-hero name that isnt a codename arent that unique anymore with so many iterations... People are exhausting me...

They also used Jarvis from the Agent Carter series in Endgame.

I will suggest that AoS is pretty clearly it's own timeline in the MCU multiverse. That's my own personal take and I really have no desire to defend it if anyone wants to challenge it. (Though happy to discuss with anyone that genuinely wants to). The beauty of the multiverse and variants and timelines that have been in so many places throughout the MCU is that it's really up to each person to decide what's connected and what isn't.
