Trusting Loki, is like drawing to an inside straight.
You know you shouldn't do it, but the other guy just pulled two cards.
And every once in a while, you fill the straight. But not often enough.
Half of me is thinking Loki is going to go straight and help the TVA (or at least Mobius), but the other half is thinking, "It's Loki."
Maybe it'll become clearer once we understand Lady Loki's motives...

They have build it so quickly into a whirling logic of "he's obviously going to betray Mobuis ... so that means the twist will be that he won't ... which means he will ... which means ........"
There's a theory that Lady Loki is actually his daughter from another timeline rather than a true variant. Which could complicate things as well.
Alls I know is I'm loving it so far and geeking out over the idea that this could set up so many cool things like Secret Wars.

Whether Loki betrays Mobius or not will probably depend on what's best for Loki, though he does seem to not like what he's seen of the future. I've seen a couple of other theories about the variant Loki, but having not read the comics they don't mean much to me. One thing I will say, and ayanami is welcome to disagree with me, is that the variant Loki is much better looking than the real one.

One of the many things I love about the MCU is that they honor the comics, without just blindly following them. Some will like or dislike specific things where they stray, but I think it's great the way you can look forward to certain arcs but also not be sure which elements they might combine. Most stories in Marvel have been told time after time, so there are usually options.
So whether they go with the obvious (or the _other_ obvious) backstory for variant Loki, there will be surprises.
