With all the craziness going on, I just wanted to create a thread if anyone wants to check in. I hope everyone is keeping healthy and doing well!

I'm good. I had recently been watching The Boys on Amazon. Great series. The Mandalorian season 2 has recently premiered on Disney+. I got Peacock and had been re-watching Charmed on it. Added Starz on Hulu and a lot of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons I watched in the 1980s is on it. Oh and Cobra Kai is on Netflix So yeah, I've been finding new and old stuff to watch. lol

All is well (relatively of course). Trying to make some decisions on streaming services to catch up on shows I'm missing out on. Recently rewatched the Harry Potter movies (meh). If anyone needs advice on applying for Canadian citizenship, just let me know.

With all the craziness going on, I just wanted to create a thread if anyone wants to check in. I hope everyone is keeping healthy and doing well! So far we've been able to avoid drinking the Rona Kool-Aide. We social distance by avoing people like the plague, except at my work where I have to deal with clients. At work I've become adicted to the smell of alcohol and have become quite fond of the slimey feel of wearing latex gloves for extended periods of time. Additionally, I've developed a new super power that allows me to actually see through the fog on my galsses while wearing a mask. Kidding aside - I'm just glad I'm still gainfully employed and me and mine are still kicking. What about you, Boss Lady? Spending time in the classroom. Hope you're social distancing from the snot nosed.... ahem , er.... I mean...... students.

The horses might be an issue for sure. Though I do have a friend with a farm. LOL

Believe it or not, the kids are better about masks than adults a lot of the time! We've had a sudden increase of the 'rona in this area due to some various community gatherings. Hopefully, we'll get that under control again soon. I hear that about the foggy glasses though! I thought about wearing my contacts, but then I realized if I do that, I'll be rubbing my eyes all day. Glad to hear you all are hanging in there too!

I suppose that I have been doing OK. To the best of my knowledge, neither I nor anyone else in my (admittedly small) social circle caught the virus.
Other than always wearing a mask when I leave my apartment, the main ways that the coronavirus has affected me is that I spend less time hanging out at bookstores and I rarely go out to see a film. Even though local grocery stores have gotten away with not having big sales, I found that I have been spending less money than normal. Also, I lost about five pounds since the crisis began, perhaps due to the stress.
Regarding the community at large: if a couple of You Tube pranksters decide to pass out masks and film hostile responses, they come to my city. When the Los Angeles Times decides to do a story in which reporters go out in the field and observe the percentage of people who are wearing masks, they send a reporter to my city, where I am sure they already knew that they would find a low compliance rate. When I see a photo of an idiot holding a sign saying "Social Distancing = Communism," I see a very familiar background.
I went to vote yesterday. I had to walk through a metal detector to enter the polling place. I understand why this is necessary. I am not happy that this is necessary. It is motivation to take haxemon up on his offer.

neither I nor anyone else in my (admittedly small) social circle caught the virus. A few months back, two members of my family on my stepfather's side caught it though. Though thankfully because my mom did not attend funerals, they recovered.

Looks like I may not need all those extra blankets and pillows after all. Not that I'm fully closing the door to anyone.

All sorts of talk about drastic reaction to the election, but none of the people who say they will move ever seem to. As for who wins, I think it was described almost 50 years back...
