I'm surprised nobody else has put these in. The pitch meetings have been showing up a recommendations for me for a while, but I had the wrong idea about what they were supposed to be.
Captain America
Winter Soldier
Civil War

I'm just halfway throught the first one, and this is already hilarious! “Are people gonna mind that we’re doing the exact same thing again?” “No, he’s gonna have a different foreign accent.” “Oh, nobody’s gonna notice then.” ROFL!! EDIT 1: Okay, still funny, but HELL TO THE NO on the second one! First of all, that movie is excellent and he really should have acknowledged that more. Even Honest Trailers admitted that they were nitpicking when they did their take on The Winter Soldier. Also, anyone who googled Bucky Barnes after his "death" in the first movie already knew he was still alive. Doesn't change the emotional impact of Cap finding out. As to Cap and Natasha turning to Sam instead of the other Avengers, that actually made perfect sense in the moment. Not only were they pressed for time, but they also knew that Hydra would have eyes on every potential ally they might contact. Going to the random guy Steve had met by chance just a little while ago was actually a perfect way to avoid discovery. Had they gone to the Stark tower for example, I doubt they would have even made it into the lobby. And HOW DARE THEY imply that the events of The Winter Soldier negatively impacted AoS. If anything, ratings were bad, because the quality of the first season was a bit lacking up until that point and the schedule of the show was just atrocious at the time! I actually still remember that, because they had been off for a couple of weeks, then came back for one or two episodes, only to go right back into a month long hiatus right when Skye was shot. Who does that?!? Anyway, the Winter Soldier tie-in was - and still is - the absolute pinnacle of AoS and anyone who disagrees can fight me on this! Plus, the destruction of Shield actually freed the show up to explore a much wider range of stories than just to deal with the powered person/object of the week each time and I think that's just a win-win situation. EDIT 2: Watched the third one and while it's also really funny, it's also kinda painful to hear it spelled out once again just how stupid Civil War actually is. Especially the part where Zemo is just able to impersonate the psychiatrist and walk into the CIA facility like it's nothing is right up there in the top area of the MCU's BS heap. I get suspension of disbelief, but... COME ON!!
