Can we all agree that this is the worst superhero origin story EVER? You see, I have no problem believing that James wants to be a hero and fight crime on his own instead of just watching his friends do so. I'm even willing to believe he has the determination it takes to take a beating and still get back up to continue the fight against all odds, and that Winn is such an all-round tech wiz that he designs superhero gear in his spare time. What I do have a massive problem with, though, is the issue of when exactly James suddenly became a martial artist!?!
Thea and Laurel on Arrow (or Skye on AoS) had months of training before they started kicking ass and they still got tons of s**t from the "fans" for being unrealistic as fighters. Yet now we're to believe that James can do crazy flips and throw down in a fight like nobody's business despite never having had any sort of training so much as mentioned? I get that they wanted to have a new direction for the character, but this development just seems forced and lazy to a degree that I find baffling, even for an Arrow-verse show.

Maybe they think that this version of James is so different from the original, they can do anything they want with it, i agree it was kind of forced..
